It's not just the raw suffering but also the sense of systematic oppression between groups that triggers people. Yemen or Sudan don't get nearly enough attention because most people find those conflicts harder to understand in terms of "good and evil" than the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The word genocide is not appropriate because it refers to the aim of destroying a national or ethnic group and Gaza is neither. Even if Israel wanted to kill, and killed, all Gazans that does not fit the commonly accepted definition of this word prior to the war in Gaza.

Your definition of genocide is so narrow that it also excludes the Armenian genocide, are you okay with that? Some groups like those in Constantinople were spared, so a denier might claim that only rural Armenians were targeted, not the whole ethnic group (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_genocide_denial#Rheto...).

I don't think that's correct according to the newly published video. Correct me if wrong, but I think it shows a Tomahawk hitting nearby the school, and based on the amount of dust it seems that the school was already hit moments earlier. So it still isn't 100% clear if the school was also hit by a Tomahawk or by something else.
