That's great. 5G can work if it's deployed well and with sufficient capacity. Unfortunately, that's not the case everywhere. For example, there's no 5G in my area at all and even the 4G coverage and speeds suck. Thankfully, in my area, I have 200mbit cable internet and WiFi calling. So to use a cliche: Your mileage may vary...

That's why I stuck with an S4 for so long; there just wasn't a good replacement that met my requirements. I finally got an S10e a couple years ago, which has been pretty good. It's still a little bigger than I would like, but... Many people want the larger phones for various reasons and many others don't seem to care. Those of us who want smaller phones seem to be a minority, so we don't get many options. It's a similar story with headphone jacks...

If they included governmental owners, it'd dwarf these private holdings. For example, the largest landowner is really the United States Federal government: 640 million acres.

Luckily, I heard about it on the radio on the way home from work and got home a couple minutes before the launch, so I could watch it from my front yard.

The thing that troubles me the most is the hubris of Facebook to think that they can even attempt to define and enforce speech codes. It is their site, so they can do what they want, but I can also do what I want and not use it. Given Facebook's massive drop in stock price this year, it seems like their investors think Facebook is following the wrong path as well.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." - First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America (1789)

A vocal minority of the community was pushing for vanilla. There was a somewhat popular (supposedly 150k active players) vanilla server setup by some people in the community (Nostalrius) that was shut down by Blizzard for copyright infringement. It's hard to say what Blizzard will do after they roll out the vanilla servers. They may create TBC, WotLK, etc. servers, or it may be a dud that they just shut down... I'm sure it will depend on how successful they are and how much effort is required to maintain the servers.

According to this analysis, the most valuable skills could be summed up as “leadership” skills

What are the most valuable combinations of job skills? David Deming found that the jobs with the greatest growth in employment were those that required both social and mathematical skills.

I think these are the key takeaways. STEM is very important, but it appears the market is saying we have a lack of leadership skills, which are not really emphasized in a typical education.
