Esync was the other one. Basically either of those enabled (honestly probably both were) and it didn't hit a corner case with issues, NTSYNC is basically no benefit. (I personally would rather use NTSYNC)

Gentoo also has a tracker [1] for GCC 15 issues that they've been working on as well. (Note: GCC 15 is masked in Gentoo so you have to go out of your way to install it)

Intel has always had randomly supported ECC on desktop CPUs. Sometimes it was just a few low end SKUs, sometimes higher end SKUs. 14th gen it appears i9s and i7s do, didn't check i5s, but i3s did not.
All of these sort of things are just based on hours used. It's like looking at your hot water heater warranty and replacing it when it's over (I live an an area where the PPM of the water is rather high and hot water heater warranties are basically calibrated for water like mine, so we do have to replace them on warranty expiration, most places you at least get a few years or double)
They fixed the easy to use exploits on the 3DS not too long ago after it had been discontinued and store shutdown etc

I would recommend trying to clean them with some rubbing alcohol first, using abrasives will only work so many times
You can also put the 72 pin connector in boiling water for like 30 mins, take it out and let it cool. That should reset the pins back to "factory condition"
I think it all comes back to people being upset about the Ubuntu PulseAudio switch. Ubuntu did a bad job when they switched to PulseAudio and caused lots of issues. Lennart Poettering was lead dev for both projects and it's weird how much the anti-systemd crowd get their panties in a bunch over him and also PA.
Most of the c string usage appears to be just for libobs, which is a C library. They have a few constants that are perfectly fine and the rest of their string usage is actually std::string ...

Just to make sure I increase knowledge, cork taint is a very specific thing, it's from a chemical called TCA (2,4,6-trichloroanisole) not just something corks do.
I actually would rather synthetic or screw tops, but I'm mostly into whisk(e)y not wine. Corks can fail way more than other options. I do like a nice cork pop though.
Plus cork taint is no fun (yes, that happens with whiskey too, it's a myth it can't)
Also another down side of spirits being capped with a cork is that at higher ABVs they can slowly disolve the cork ... (Not sure when that starts to happen, but I believe 40% ABV can)

It should be noted that jmondi review is talking about the previous model. The one the article is talking about hasn't been out long enough for his post to be about lemp11. That doesn't mean it's changed enough that it's not still valid, but it was a different model of the Lemur Pro (likely lemp10)
I got told by a GNOME dev on reddit that I use my file browser wrong when I complained about lack of type-ahead search. I've switched to KDE since.

Gaming on the other hand, is very much still mostly Windows only.
I game a lot, I haven't rebooted into Windows in well over a year. Luckily I don't really play games that require stupid DRM/anticheat (although, that is being worked on)
I would probably start playing Apex Legends again if they allowed EAC Linux support. Epic added support, the devs just need to support it -.-
I think part of the push back from the lab leak theory is that it's often accompanied by lab created and leaked. I'm far from an expert, but from what I understand, there are 0 signs it was lab created. Now isolated from the wild in a lab and then leaked is still considered possible, but they just don't know.

Not all of the vaccines are affected by the questions this paper raises. The mRNA vaccines aren't affected, only the adenovirus vector vaccines are.
If you're concerned about the spike protein because of this paper, it's still best to vaccinated. The 4 adenovirus vector vaccines will still give you less exposure, but taking one of the others will completely avoid it. (And if you get exposed after vaccination you'll have extremely minimal exposure to the spike protein compared to if you were unvaccinated)

Incorporating this new information would lead to policies that support vaccine mandates and masking.
But then again, that's always been what I thought the policies should be since there was never any strong claims to vaccines preventing transmission.
