I really wish it had a setting to up the daring of the recommendation. It seems designed to just never recommend something that I would really hate but in doing so it never recommends me anything all that interesting.

I haven't used Facebook since 2010 and I have never used Instagram.

If someone in my social network wants to send me some information they have my number and they can txt me. If someone wants to send me a picture they can do the same.

To call Facebook a monopoly is an analogy at best. You are not going to solve these problems through analogy though, these are uniquely new problems.

That has been the most reasoned, data driven debates I have found since this all started and the narratives are basically nothing like the consensus in mass media.

The only social media I have is twitter. I have had it since 2014 but I have never tweeted anything.

I think I follow 15 people right now and for me it is perfect. I will sometimes try to add new people but the moment someone posts something political or if they pass a threshold for posting too much useless content I instantly block them. I also don't follow anyone I know personally and can just txt them.

For me, my twitter feed is a phenomenal resource and an absolutely life positive thing. The problem though is the whole platform would collapse if everyone used it as I use it.

I have started using DuckDuckGo more and more but the biggest issue I have with it is that DuckDuckGo is such an incredibly poor choice for the naming of a search engine brand.

The results almost seem better in many instances for what I am actually looking for. We are never going to say "Just DuckDuckGo go it" though. It sounds just so stupid.
