I can't find the article you mention, "A machine fired me". Do you have a link?
Flashblock blocks most of the videos on news sites.
I'd love to, but after I click the link, I get another link to "try" it. Clicking this link still gives me no joy, as now I need to find a server or something? Ok, lets see if there is one for my country, USA. Nothing on the popular list. Guess I should try the complete list. Oh look, no way to search. No suggestions on what I should be doing.
Whatever, I could spend my time and energy figuring the rest of it out, but there is no way I am going to convince my girlfriend this is a good idea.
There is zero risk of the deal falling through because the buyer's mortgage fails. In booming markets, people will make offers and then find they can't actually get a mortgage for that amount. For example, sometimes the bank will refuse the mortgage if the house doesn't appraise close to the value of the offer.
How does this affect GPL?
For legal reasons I doubt they can reply at all.
"Computers are no match for super recognizers..."
Give it time.
Yes, unless you suggest another hardware token with NFC in the same price band (sub $100).
Not any easier than it already is. There are tools like Social-Engineer Toolkit (SET) that make it dead simple to launch all sorts of phishing attacks.
Its a mind hack that companies use to trick naive people out of their time, money, and happiness.
The first challenge is training data. 10-100 videos of people beginning to drown would be a good start. It also might be highly pool dependent. The different shapes, styles and attractions at the pool will all make a difference. Wave pool vs slope vs dropoff etc
Even in C I would point out that the compiler will likely make such a trivial optimization for you. That was clearly a company full of morons.
As above, but also mining crypto's is against AWS terms of service.
In those areas I guess you just install it inside the home somewhere, which is the whole point of making it look decent.
No, each pound of payload makes the launch way more expensive. Just keep the nuclear waste down here.
Why can't they just serve the client's location to the driver's device and then have the drivers device handle the estimate?
In most cases I would rather pay for 7 more servers than for the 10,000 extra lines of code your C++ or Java implementation is going to cost me. Hardware is cheap. Engineers are expensive.
You mean solve the halting problem? That would be impressive.
It would be really useful if you could save patterns to copy paste them into the battlefield. Some of the more complex patterns are really really hard to paint on a high resolution screen.
Hopefully by that point the block size will be bigger. If the block size is bigger, than the problem is just "include every transaction". But yes, the bitcoin rewards will continue halving until sometime in 2110-2140, where they hit zero. At some point, transaction fees will be more important than the block reward. Therefore, to be efficient miners would need to solve the knapsack problem if they wanted to create a maximum value block. However, we are lucky here, the knapsack problems is one of the few NP-complete problems that isn't a total mess to deal with, and can be solved in O(nW) time, where W is the greatest common divisor for the weights and n is the length of the input.
Korean culture could be heavily embedded in their Vancouver office.
If this thing is real, you could just have your phone "load" different cards to it.
This isn't a start-up though. His 'data' hardly seems applicable to a company that's already the size of Reddit.
Gosh your demanding. :-p
Loved that post.
You don't have to download the whole block-chain to use bitcoin.
They need to recruit more people to make it possible i guess? I don't know I agree with you. Its absurd to have a project of this scale without code review.
In b4 pirates leak it anyway.
Couldn't just turn off all the pointless attention eating notifications and enjoy the useful features?
