Most of the software mentioned was working fine on ARM based SBC-s long before Apple switched to it.

I updated my A485 bios recently using fwupd, was much easier than on windows, just run a command and restart. To me the year of the Linux desktop is already here :)
But yea seems that not all machines are supported, you either get lucky or have to do research beforehand.
So they are volunteerily sabotage U.S. military to help the Russians and Chineses.
They chose to not support the war industry in general, the country is irrelevant. Ultimately, that is all we, as individuals, can do - to participate in something or not, diminishing it by one.
