In theory you can generate the code locally and compare it with the deployed version to see that it's one to one.. But maybe we could do something in order to improve the said security check.

While you can download the executables for OS X or Windows from the downloads page, you can also run it from the sources (https://github.com/lipis/timelapse) if you are interested of doing that with Raspberry Pi.
