Interesting you don't include company culture. Isn't that all the rage these days?

Interesting. A good addition would be to see your geographic data (I remember saying where I wanted to work). I wonder if either are more popular in certain geographies or not.
I was thinking of doing something like this too - looks like you beat me to it. Will be happy to contribute - I'll hit you up on Github.
I understand your point of view - these numbers do not make much sense to me at all - I'd imagine any good engineer would understand his value in the current market and look to maximise his return. But I imagine these people are following the trends they see in other posts, and also hoping that other factors of the job (company, mission, people, coding environment) add weight to their opportunity.
The biggest irk I have with a number of these posts is indeed the equity offering. Whilst I can't comment, or be correct on all the companies, most of them seem quite early stage. I would expect them to offer a larger amount of equity (higher pcg). This to a lot of early stage hires can be a big a motivator. If the company offers a large chunk then it shows a commitment to that person that they value their contribution and see them as critical in the success of the company.
Yea. Front page looks nice, but does not explain to me in the terms i understand (technical terms) what it does. Assuming your target audience are developers/CTOs/etc I would re-think what text you have on your homepage. Possibly even get some kind of diagram on the front page.
This looks great! It does take a while to load though (I suppose that is expected with all the D3 plots).
Other things that would be cool to see on this: - TLDR - Top level insights - Drill down ability - make it more interative. See if there are more noticable trends when you only look at people who said they used Javascript/are Junior etc. - Pay bracket - Drill down on Location (are there any geographys where particular skills are rife) - Any demographic information you have (sex, ethnicity, level of education, school attended)!
Those comments aside though - this is very cool. I like how you think about work.
Very cool!
Nice new design!
