Are there any initiatives to build a new internet with secure/anonymous transmissions in place from the ground up? Could such a thing even be possible?

Funny, but in all seriousness, it's easy to blame the client. As consultants it is our job to have the skills to navigate these issues and help guide our clients through the process.

I think anyone who works in consulting can relate and get a chuckle out of this, but we need to learn to work with it rather than become cynical, if we want to be successful at what we do.

I'm not sure I agree with the idea of adding utility methods to the $rootScope to avoid wiring in dependencies repeatedly. I would probably go with defining a utility class and indeed injecting it into every controller that needs it. I like the idea of having my utility methods clearly defined in one place. Any opinions here on the pros/cons?

It's exciting to see AngularJS's growth. I think there is a lot of hopefully merited hype out there for Angular as "the one we have been waiting for".

My company has been transitioning away from Flex, and first we tried ExtJS. It worked well as a good direct translation from Flex, but none of us were fans of the heavily generated HTML. It felt to me very much like a plugin, built for dumping thick-app designs into a web framework. Our designers hated it.

AngularJS seems to give the best of both worlds, freeing designers to write pure HTML, while allowing developers to work at a level of abstraction away from the DOM.

The best way to teach humility is to demonstrate it. This professor has instead demonstrated his egoism through this email and through his decision to distribute it to the entire class. It seems this professor is the kind of person who demands respect but is not willing to give it (or rather, chooses who to give it to based on his own set of criteria for who is deserving - hardly humble).
