I was hoping for an article about actual weird non-fiction or "creative nonfiction", unfortunately the author focuses on fiction pretending to be nonfiction which at the end of the day, is still fiction. His label of what he calls "weird nonfiction" is seriously misused here.
While scrolling, I misread that as - "What it's like to dissect a cab driver" - and was like, huh?
I guess it's time to renew the prescription for my reading glasses.

I second that. I'm a commercial painter and more then once I've had my sansa mp3 player fall into a paint bucket. Fish it out, clean it up and the damn things just kept on working. Instant brand loyalty after that. Shame they stopped making them.

The quickest way to kill replay ability in games: cut scenes that you can not skip.
If the player has seen the scene once, there should always be the option to skip it.
I love PKD but having read most of the biographical material about him and a large chunk of his exegesis ( a journal that he kept after experiencing a break with reality late in his life) I'd put my money on deeply patanoid, mentally ill individual.
But god bless him, he certainly did leave us with some marvelous tales designed to make us question the world around us and ourselves.
One summer I got stuck in the back woods of Alberta with nothing to read but a plastic grocery bag filled with James Patterson novels. I read everything in that bag and not for one second did I believe one word of anything that he had written. Gawd, what an awful experience. I'll never read another book by that lame ass hack again.

Saw it last weekend and loved it but still can't decide how much. Swiss Army Man was basically a screwball comdedy filmed like an art movie so when the wtf moments happen they stood out as WTF? Everywhere is very comic booky (almost too comic booky for my likeing) and it contains just as many wtf moments (if not more) but because of it's comic book nature the wtf stuff doesn't stand out as sharply as it did in Swiss Army Man. It all kinda blends into one big ball of crazy. Nonetheless, still lots of fun, lots of laughs.
