How do you know that the list wouldn't have been longer otherwise?

What are you trying to say exactly?
This response encapsulates my feelings perfectly:
if i had your job they would have had to waterboard this interaction out of me
Really? That's it?
Why mac mini instead of something like a raspberry pi? Aren't thede claw things delegating inference to OpenAI, Antropic etc.?
I only have one Apple devices (an iPad) but from what I seen the subscription is popular on it. I wanted to use Infuse, a video player, for my Jellyfin server but the lifetime price was $100 or a $2/month subscription. Also was interested in Panels, a comic book reader, for my Komga server. Panels was more reasonably priced ($20 for all updates to the current major version) but it also a subscription tier at $1.5/month.
Does the relay not have to have a publicly accessible IP address?
Edit: My understanding of network terminologies is weak. But I assumed that the relay server would have to not be behind a CGNAT.
This isn't true. They were able to pressure yuzu instead because of fixes for the leaked version of the TOTK ROM.
Not that I care about it but I'm sure you are also violating some terms of service by using NewPipe
Is there a way to get this as a cbz file or something similar?
Can an American please help me comprehend how much power a mayor has? I am supposing a NYC mayor would be more influential than that of a less important city. But I still don't understand how that would make an appointment like this significant.
Why does OpenAI have a separate model for coding (Codex) but Anthropic uses the same model for chatbots and coding?
What does your writing workflow look like? More than half of the post looks straight up generated by AI.
Crypto hasn't really passed. It's just not talked about on HN anymore. It is still a massive industry but they have dropped the rhetoric of democratising banking and instead let you use cryptocurrency to do things like betting on US invading Venezuela and so on.
AAA games have been having really bad performance issues for the last few years while not looking much better. If you wanna game in 8K you are gonna need something like a NASA supercomputer.
Are you sure all this is really necessary? I just use round sync to copy over the camera and whatsapp media folders over ssh/sftp to my SBC. Then once every several months I delete the files from these foldes which exceed a given mtime (using find in termux).
Tailscale has some integration with Mullvad. If you have a Mullvad subscription you can use their servers as exit nodes without dropping your Tailscale connection: https://tailscale.com/kb/1258/mullvad-exit-nodes
Outside of the particular combination of Mullvad and Tailscale I don't think there is any other way apart from switching between the two.
It's probably similar to how the extremely pro-AI people started generating Studio Ghibli-style images in droves. It's sort of a disrespectful co-opting.
Line count also becomes less useful of a metric because LLM generated code tends to be unnecessarily verbose.
They should be getting most of it from third party clients too. At least the chat and the files are being sent to or from Anthropic's own servers.
It wasn't the a civilised option. Japan would have lost and surrendered with or without nukes. The USA nuked two cities just to demonstrate their nuclear capabilities to the Soviets.
For me the strange and unproductive direction Windows is going towards in encapsulated in the right-click menu in the file manager (Explorer). 11 has a shiny new menu that shows up when you right click. But it is a new coat of paint over the ones from 10 or before. Additional options from for example 7zip don't show up in it. You have to click "more options" at the bottom which them reveals the old menu. There is no benefit to the new menu except for the fact that it is aesthetically more "modern" to its detriment.
It will shrink even further when everyone has their own cheap personal teleportation device
Unfortunately you missed the cherry-on-the-top AI generated image of an engineer and her manager mourning the end together.
I don't know much about Igalia but they are worker owned and I always see them work on high skill requirement tasks. Makes me wish I was good enough to work for them.
People are upset that an investigation piece on a concetration camp got spiked due to purely political reasons. I am not sure what is confusing about it.

Like sanctions?
How did it work out? Was it helpful?
