At $4M per km, a 4,300 km HVDC cable would cost a staggering $17.2 billion to import 1.75 GW of energy. Interestingly, building a Shin-Kori equivalent nuclear plant [1],[2] on a nearby island [3] would be significantly cheaper. If they can afford such a cable, it raises the question of whether it's even the best solution in the first place. [4]

It is very useful to me, even though I know some webdev. For projects where you need to expose majorly python functionality on the web, and don't want to add whole other dimension and toolkits to your python code, this is brilliant.

Depends on FAA involvement in each launch. In case of an airline FAA controls each flight for hours. In case of a rocket launch, most trouble comes from "don't go in that area" type of commitment, plus investigations of something went wrong.

These days Russia has rockets in Siberia silos, in submarines all over the world, and in trains moving around ready to fire. No meaningful change to MAD doctrine can be brought from Europe.

And still disrupted (dead) lives per energy generated nuclear is one of the safest options. There was hydroelectric fail with 160000 lives lost, and it is not even mentioned when discussing dangers of energy generation.

This is discussion about nuclear power generation, not of nuclear weapons, though. Quite different things. Nuclear, esp. thermonuclear weapons are indeed designed to inflict untold damage.

The way you keep your property price up is by not allowing others to build more property around you. When person days - i want to keep my property price up, what he really says is - i dont want more people to live near me.

It is very different from other kinds of values - for example car is getting more expensive if it is fancier/more unique, but its price does not change with production of way cheaper cars , which all can go same places.

This is why insisting on your house keeping same value is very harmful to other people - this can only be achieved by denying these people the place to stay in the same area.

It is more like fission externalities ended up way over-anticipated, almost killing the industry.

I also like the idea a lot. There is another approach, similar to LiveView taken in [1]. There is direct 1-1 matching between HTML and python objects.
