is a core project, apparently they use it a lot, youtube is in it, but if it happens, it can be picked by other companies that use it, docker, kubernetes, cockroachdb, coreOS, etc. What Rust has, firefox? What D has.. nothing?

D is a mess, Rust maybe no, but seeing how firefix is lossing browser share, I doubt in 5 - 10 years, there will be any company behind it anymore, same for kotlin, with vscode beating jetbrains.
you don't have to like go, I'm not "liking it" per say, but what's the alternative if you want static typing/compile language, Java, well the compile time is to big for my taste, do a change wait 30 seconds, also it needs to munch ram, Net core could not get it to run.
