Is it for genomics data scientists mainly or is it general compute (I would also compare with hetzner and the other clouds if you are going the general compute method). I appreciate it when publications include corrections at the end of their articles. Even though I don't own a Switch, I enjoyed the piece, and I believe the main point about running AAA games on hardware below the recommended specifications still holds true.
This may be because LanceDB is the most attractive with a price point of standard S3 storage ($0.023/GB vs $0.06/GB). I also like that Lancedb works with S3 compatible stores, such as Backblaze B2 which is even cheaper (~70% cheaper).
This response comes across as unnecessarily toxic and quip-y, which is a shame because there's real substance here. The author clearly understands database design, referencing concepts like normal forms and Boyce-Codd Normal Form (BCNF). Even if I don't agree with the conclusion, I have to respect anyone who takes the time to lay out their argument. Challenging ideas are what help our community grow.

A good note for bitwarden is that it has a self hosting open source version, vaultwarden that is easy to switch to: https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden I see this as downside protection, as I can quickly migrate if I disagree with bitwarden's direction with minimal changes to my clients.
I do worry about VC pressure on Bitwarden for hypergrowth. However in my personal opinion, the benefits outweigh the cons (for now).
