It appears the 737 Max is a total failure. Pushed through by Boing to outpace Airbus, from physical design, attitude sensors, re-certification bypass imperative, and flight control software, finally killing nearly 600 people before being ground. In short I’m never flying in one!

Drive less, and use public transit more, a relatively modest proposal. Vote out the blatantly vote pandering politicians pushing fossil fuels. So AFAIK Electron is built on V8 JS engine. Last I looked that has a JIT compiler, then I’d expect performance to increase as that ‘warms up’

Too bad it takes a decade to build these things, they cost billions, they produce harmful waste that persists for thousands of years, and in failure cases produce exclusion zones for thousands of years. Effort and investment would be better spent on solar and wind power projects.

I ‘opt out’ always. Had a terminal security person tell me it’s just air (what in the actual funk!?). Fruitless attempts to explain that claim was entirely incorrect I just gave up. Got the pat down and move alongit’s a pain but flying is terrible in general. Finally I enjoy making the inconveniences along the way.
