I'm not going to contest your experience because my experience with uber in the city was for tourism/getting home after a night of partying, not work. In my experience uber drivers took my word over the GPS every single time when I gave directions. I know that the driver can affect my rating like I can theirs so its in all our best interest to have a good ride.

My take away was the discussion about poverty, specifically "I'm sure most of those who want to decrease economic inequality want to do it mainly to help the poor, not to hurt the rich." So I don't think he based it on a false premise.

After the meth problem in america became rampant (and is still a huge problem in many places) it was hard to get pseudoephedrine so instead there were many drugs that just got me high (in a non fun way) but didn't actually clear my sinuses. Why can't everyone afford it, or at least middle class and above? The US is already the "1%" right? So we all can take a hit to solve this problem now. It may be politically unpopular, or even politically nonviable but it can be done.

PLA is easy to recycle, though as I said I mostly print PET. That does seem to be recyclable though I question the cost/benefit of doing so since the recycling itself has cost and it may weaken the plastic.

Personally I have a bucket filled with the scraps till I can figure out what I want to do. But I know I've thrown away far more plastic packaging than I waste printing so I don't stress about it.

Why can't you just create another email for these services? The actual email address is irrelevant for something like Google Play Music.

Can you give evidence to it only lasting a year? I print in PETG which is the same plastic used by Coke to create their 2 liter bottles. Even "if" it only lasts a year, the cost of the plastic is cents so I'll just print another.

With the explosion of 3d printing I would love to see what Lego does to capture this market. I can already print lego clone pieces. My niece doesn't really know about intellectual property, she know about mashing plastic together.

They can be the leader, but the window that they can take advantage of this is closing quickly. A 300 dollar printer id not that big of an investment and once you have it you can print a big item for about a dollar in plastic.

My espresso machine was one of the best purchases I have made. I can have straight espresso or any variation of frothed milk and coffee that I can imagine. Hero is only as biased as history is and the US has written a lot of history. The US government already considers many military personal heroes today.

Data caps seem fine as long as they keep up with technology. The problem is that even 5 years ago 300GB was barely reasonable and it is completely unreasonable today.

What I mean by "fine" is I would rather have a datacap and a higher speed that could potentially exceed the data cap if used 24/7 than a slower speed that creates a soft cap anyway.

I have a hard time understanding why anyone would lease a service that is vital to their job, or at least without a backup. If your livelihood depends on something then spend your money appropriately. Even if you did sign up for CC you can still have an older version ready to go in a pinch.

Prevention efforts could include ways to talk about your problems without being afraid that people would treat you differently or force you to do something you didn't want to do. There would have to be an absolute guarantee of privacy of course.

I have had a problem where people sign up for stuff using my email address. Yes I can (and do) unsubscribe, but it is really nice that these are now pretty much all filtered out of my inbox automatically.

I've never seen a marketer verify email to make sure it was actually the requester who owns the email like other web services do.

Were you using timemachine, and if so did the photographs get removed from there as well? No matter what, that sounds like an incredibly poor user experience.
