A shell is far from ‘zero’ abstractions.

Currently unassigned, if you’re wanting more than someone’s guess as to the category. It’s safe to say the event will be at least category 3, and that it is not (presently) above category 4, but we need to wait at least until the event is over before the category can be assigned very accurately.

As a user, however, I am extremely glad about this default.

This is pretty standard behaviour, from what I’ve seen. A lot of people use the shuffle feature.

Despite what the article seems to imply, S-O-V is also the most common standard word order (in number of languages, though almost certainly not in number of native speakers, given that both English & Chinese are both S-V-O)

the system tray on windows is the annoyance that it is for one huge reason: There is no other (decent) way to have a windowless app that can be interacted with. Because, there is no application list (aside from ctrl+alt+delete). I really think that Windows needs to move beyond windows as the highest level of organisation and allow the user to work with apps directly. I cannot see myself willingly using Windows until this is the case.

OSX for example: The dock is said list, and it performs the bulk of what the system tray ends up doing. the menu bar utilities on OS X perform what the system tray was intended to do.

I have a particular dislike for that icon set. Things that are shiny are too shiny and things that aren’t shiny look flat. It also has a bad case of Apple envy; but is nowhere near up to the OS X icons’ standard.

Whereas the new design looks like the TiBook that preceded it.
