'Rationality: From AI to Zombies' is available on a pay-what-you-want basis. It talks about cognitive science, ethics, human (ir)rationality and how to improve it, among other things. It stems from the Lesswrong Sequences [2], which have a lot more content, but are a bit messy.

How would my data (say status updates) be stored? On a single server of my own choice?
How do you decide who has access to what? Will it be somehow encrypted, so that only a subset of my contact list could get access to a part of it?
Would I be able to move all my data to a different server if I decided it is no longer trustworthy?
I know women who do use their gender to get respect. I never heard them explicitly demanding it, but they expect it and often get it. There are not many of them, but they do exist.
Maybe you don't know any such women, maybe you live in a culture where you don't get respect even when you deserve it, but that is no reason to write such an aggressive article.
I am concerned that nowadays, when a guy points that we are not going towards gender equality, but overshooting it, he is labeled to be chauvinistic and buried under a mountain of hate. The original article was polite and had a point, he didn't deserve this.
If a woman acts inappropriately towards a man, he rarely has any option to make her fuck off. "Men don't have to do it"? They can't. It's only that it happens less often (I guess). Seems to me that women have a lot more power in this regard.
The cards could be given for any non-appropriate behavior, not just sexual harassment of women. Keep in mind that there are also some sexist women that can't behave themselves.
EDIT: The cards don't seem to be gender specific, though it is implied that they will be mainly used by females.
If most of the SO community was female but you didn't know about it, would your observations somehow differ from these? Would you notice?
Vim completely freezes and consumes 100% cpu right after starting up.
Also, the yankring plugin has a problem with non-existant ~/.vim/tmp directory.
The point of non-discrimination is EQUALITY between people of all races and genders. So if you can't switch the sides, they are not equal and it is wrong.
This is just madness. You can give poor black kids a chance by giving them equal rights and rules. Anyway, woman are underrepresented by their own choice and are in no way disadvantaged. I actually feel it is the opposite, that as a woman, I'm in advantage in IT.

It would be in the news all over the country. If you can't switch male/female without feeling like it's wrong one way, it's wrong the other way too.

Why does every post about Google+ have to be linked here?
One of the reasons may be, that men always help women with their computers. They don't need to clean it off spyware, reinstall windows or anything, because their IT friend will do it for them. So they don't need to explore how anything works, it's just a stupid black box for them. Why would they go and study Computer Science? They probably don't know what it is about.
I got into computers thanks to my little brother - I didn't want to admit that he knows something better than me. So I tried to fix it myself. Somehow, while searching for sites about how to fix this and that, I found some discussions on how Windows sux. Found Linux. Found out about programming...
Does this mean it would be a good thing to shorten time spent in school? I hated those 6-7 hours in the classroom, most of it was wasted and I wish that the next generation doesn't have to go through it too.
Go to India/China/anywhere. A change in culture can be refreshing and living there is really cheap. English is the second official language in India, so there shouldn't be a barrier. I also heard that the people are really really friendly (USA/Europe seem a bit resentful to foreigners).
