I can imagine a setup where multiple series of slower cooler water converging into a faster warmer stream, and the water will extract an equal amount of heat away from all the chips whether upstream or downstream.

How about the UN censuring Iran for not complying with the agreement? Was this a manufactured consensus? I don't see anyone mentioning IAEA's decision here.

Humm the next logical step would be to pressurize the rocket before igniting it. Or maybe to add some water in the bottle to increase the propelled mass. They just need a way to ignite the alcohol fume from the top……

Considering that it's called a world championship, someone should study the sport in-depth! Are the players allowed to swing the chestnut in a circle like a sling? Can they use carbon fiber strings, or maybe some sort of elastic string to build up more energy? Or can the player use a heavy string so it can crack like a whip? Fancy arm/wrist/fingers movements to accelerate the chestnut in the last moment? What's the optimum strike angle to crack a chestnut along its natural cleavages? This could be so exciting!

Anyone worth their education would not be paying down their 0% student loan right now. The article didn’t take into account of the high interest rates everywhere else. The money could be better used to pay down other debts or be put in treasury bills.

“Degrading” sounds very intuitive to me. Can the frequency of the light waves simply slow down over a very long distance/time? Or maybe the speed of light simply slows down over an unimaginably long distance? We don’t have any model to describe such behavior, but everyday objects around us all slow down one way or another, what makes light so different?

I also think as heavier electric cars become more ubiquitous, they will impose a threat on structures like multi level garages that weren’t designed to take this amount of weight.

When the governments see that their investments or subsidies could not break the monopoly of TSMC, I wonder if they’ll change their geopolitical strategy. Instead of protecting Taiwan for silicon supply stability, they’ll encourage an all out war between Taiwan and China. By destroying the head of the monopoly, the fabs in their countries can compete against the market again.

At this point we are definitely treating SpaceX as the US space agency and not a private business. People were outraged when Musk was considering whether to continue supporting Ukraine with StarLink. Imagine if he refused to do the same when China cuts the cables to Taiwan, someone will probably try to charge him with treason, only to realize that a private business has no obligation to do so.

How does LastPass implement their security challenge, where they rate your passwords and compare them to known mass password leak incidents? Does that require an upload of plaintext passwords to the server?

I thought it is already designed to be at L2? But because of diffraction it still cannot stay perfectly in the darkness. It also requires propellant to stay at L2, so it’s actually only designed to be operational for 5-10 years. It’s kinda sad to see some gadgets going out faster than it takes to build it.
