I just upgraded from an M1 Pro to an m5 pro and lost the ability to drive my 4k monitor above 60hz on same dock and monitor setup.

This was also going from Sequoia to Tahoe.

I am having an issue with it attaching. Are the system requirements right? I am on Sequoia

What does it mean when the letters become “straight”? I thought it meant they were in the correct spot but it was for what seem impossible letter combinations.

They also seem to become straightened out when not on the bounding boxes, and they seem to be straightened out even when not making real words. But also even when making real words they sometimes show as “broken”.

I see that it references multiple solutions but I’m still confused how that tracks.

EDIT: I ended up “solving” the puzzle but one of the words isn’t a real word, not even in a scrabble dictionary.

What’s the setup here with a ventilation fan?

Do you just run a ventilation fan in reverse? And suck outdoor air inside?

I will sometimes crack a window and leave the ventilation fan on, then later run a dehumidifier. But it’s a lot of steps, and it would be nice to automate some of the steps.

I was similarly inspired by afterthebeep, but didn't get anywhere. It'll be interesting to see if different niches/metas build up over time.

I had fun browsing the different topics, and could see myself using this as a way to have "slow" social media usage.

Perhaps using the same nomenclature for both? In the tooltip you call it an Autoprompt, but the icon itself just says "AI". Also, I typed some steps in, and expected to need to review before deploying since I didn't have any "AI" or "autoprompt" to help.

Maybe some sort of more obvious workflow that it's "done" and can be tested?

Interesting idea. I liked the AI button, but had difficulty even finding it since you need to click into a line item before you can see it.

It sounds like a museum auction or something? If so, that sounds like a nice way to promote an environment to enjoy things. Would make a great entrance/foyer hallway feature.

I took it to mean "do something with no real purpose" except they don't need to Slack/Zoom/Scrum/Checkins/8 hours a day.

Doesn't really seem like highroading, more like efficient use of their time.

That was a fun game. There's a bit of a thrill every time I call into one of these "stranger phone" things that is still novel to me.

Recently went the DIY route to show a Notion board on my 4th gen kindle. This is much nicer though, as it's optimised for display on the lower resolution screen.

I just wanted to avoid having to pull data out of Notion & re-build a UI. Would be nice for some way to apply CSS to a page to make it more viewable.

How does the ThinkSmart handle authentication?

I did a little experiment with Samsung Dex to see if the Android-only environment could work. So far - I found it way less distracting not having all my current tabs/finder windows open. I could definitely see it as a nice "writing appliance" that I could put in a quiet corner for the end of the day.
