Meanwhile I can’t believe Apple went to the trouble of an entirely new FS without implementing BTRFS style block-level checksums. The number of data corruption issues this could have prevented by now are too high to count. Not to mention there is a direct monetary incentive for Apple to do so, as it slightly inflates storage requirements at the cost of safety (and apple commonly stratifies their products by storage capacity). It’s 2020, we need ECC RAM and block level checksums for all new platforms going forward.

A few things from a non-expert:

-Raptor is operating at previously unheard of pressure, and uses advanced new materials and heavily utilized GPU-powered flow simulations during design.

-it's super efficient. It's the first operational full flow staged combustion engine AFAIK. High thrust + High efficiency == a good time.

-it uses METHALOX fuel, which can be made on various celestial bodies somewhat easily (importantly: mars). Water + solar energy + CO2 == methane-oxygen fuel

-uses more difficult spark ignition w/unlimited restarts instead of more reliable but "cartridge" based TEA-TEB (sp?) igniters that rely on mixing volatile complex to manufacture toxic chemicals to start.

The test hopper has 1 engine. The orbital prototype will have 3. The production booster will have 31 of these bad boys and put out 2.0-2.7x the thrust of a saturn V

This is certainly not the case for gaming. I use a 4k 24" at a desktop and still need to turn AA on to prevent noticable alising.

It looks like 5k is the sweet spot for 27", and 8k for 32".

Not to mention VR needs 8k to provide 1080p-like resolution over a large field of view.

In my experience “SJWs” have their own religion and overwhelmingly seek out moderator positions on subreddits, forums, positions on the school paper’s editorial team, etc etc as their ideology fails when faced with the free flow of information. You can see this in just about any internet community, the only ones that are “left wing” are the ones that enforce strict moderation rules. Anything open course corrects right very fast.

The “Warrior” in SJW comes from their perpetual fight to ban, shadowban, moderate, de-rank, and delist opposing views.

You can deflect by suggesting these people are simply authoritarian, and not true social justice/left wing advocates. I would challenge you to investigate everything from reddit’s super mods to Wikipedia’s editor cartels. You’ll find they systematically infiltrate open communities and once in positions of power purge opposing views from leadership and begin to enforce ideological conformity. The people doing this are exclusively left wing soc jus types.

Outside of the internet I’ve seen this behavior in academia as well. It’s pretty amazing how downright fascist some of them will get when they think they’re in like company.

Do we need to start linking famous peoples tweets to show that your position is false?

Plenty of people jump on the “that’s racism” bandwagon. If they can’t attack the math they attack the author and make wild accusations about their intent.

Truth is treason in an empire of lies, and socially most would rather live with comfortable lies.
