Hi Peter, I work on H-1B for a Biotech and they are applying for a Green Card through PERM for me.The current step it is on is the labor market test, I know the overall economic situation is pretty dire, but my company seems to be doing well and is actively hiring, will the overall economic impact still play a role in the PERM approval ?

They could be "older" H-1Bs , folks from India are waiting for a GreenCard since 2010, they can renew their H-1Bs in 3-year increments (perpetually) if they have a pending application for permanent residency.
