Building Atlas, a recovery analytics platform for athletes.

The core frustration: Apple Watch collects HRV, sleep stages, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, resting HR. Apple does basically nothing useful with any of it. You get ring animations and step counts.

Atlas pulls all of that together and turns it into two scores: recovery and training readiness. The point is to actually use the signal your sensors are already collecting and ensure when you train, it matters. It’s like Whoop, but actually works.

I've experimented with Neovim a few times, adding all sorts of plugins to make it work like VSCode or a Jetbrains IDE. But honestly, I just can't seem to get it to run as smoothly or feel as good as those IDEs.

It’s something to do with one of the LSPs that bogs it down and makes the experience untenable

I love Eclipse. I get by with vim and gedit, but I prefer to have all the tools that Eclipse encompasses.

That being said, I have tried the dynamic languages plugin in Eclipse for Scala/Ruby/Python as well as PyDev and the performance is atrocious.

So if Redcar can be half as good as Eclipse, then I'm all for it.

Hinty is removing any ads that may be on the source page or RSS feed and presenting in an audio only format. In addition, we would need to charge money to at least cover costs, so collecting revenue for someone else's content could be an issue.
