I had a similar situation while working at a hostel.

A couple walked into my hostel and they were both just beaming these beautiful smiles. They were the kind of people who are just so happy to be on vacation it makes me happy to tell them all of the crazy shit they can enjoy in the city. I stood up and beamed a smile back to them asking them if they were there to check in or if they needed a reservation. They looked at each other, then me, and started to sign.

I panic'd... My mother was friends with a guy who lived in a retirement home because a grenade had taken his eyes in world war two and I often spent time with him and became acquainted with the blind and the nuance of interacting such that we could both make sure we were completely understood, but there have been very few interactions in my life with deaf people and so at this moment in the hostel I was simply unprepared.

The couple saw my panic and laughed and the guy signed using his finger a as a pencil and his other palm as a notebook.

No shit! Write it down. I got us some paper and everything was smooth from there. I got them a room, a deal, and told them where the best place to catch some romance in the city was.

The writer's reaction and feelings toward the interaction mirrored my own quite well. I can believe it, but if it is a fiction, at least it is an accurate one.

When are we going to get the kind of options for window managers that we have on the desktop on our mobile devices?

I do want my phone to look like my computer but my computer looks very much different than Canonical's Unity.

This is great. These frameworks usually have a .css and a .min.css file.

I would love to see one that has a .verbose.css where all possible attributes or properties are listed and commented out in the brackets for that element. As a reference or resource to grab a chunk from for your own .css file.

It is my belief that Ulysses is the one true novel.

All other novels are attempts to achieve what Joyce accomplished. A sort of Platonic Ideal.

My reasoning is the evidence, meaning the reason it is the one true novel is because I believe a novel is: the act of attempting to fully represent an individual's experience; If you disagree with my definition of novelisation, that's fine, but it is how I classify novels, and in so much Joyce achieves the nearest perfection of this through the novels seeming opaque or random nature.

One's experience is a cloud of infinite affects and effects that one could attempt to catalogue, but would fail miserably. Here is exactly what Joyce achieved. Through Ulysses' failures it achieves perfection. Like Dali's belief that all things are latent with hidden meanings, or how if you hate Warhol because you think his work is crap then you should recognise that you actually love his work because his message was to show you that all mass manufacture is simply the production of crap.

It is more than What?, it is Why?.

Finnegan's Wake is an even a better example of this belief in practice, but it throws out the rules which unjustly garners it ire. Ulysses plays by the rules, that is grammar`dictionary`genre, and that is why I believe it is held in higher regard.

tl;dr : if you think Ulysses is difficult to read and incomprehensible, you are reading it correctly. Read it without guides, they dismantle the work's truth.
