Only Switzerland has a true democracy

I hear you — and the problem is real
Without it, I was a stack overflow lurker, and before that a forum reader
I use a Bigme Hibreak Pro eink phone, nix-on-droid/ssh to home server over tailscale, and a foldable keyboard, to have my coding setup with me and not be tied to where I can carry a laptop.
For foldable keyboards, if they are flimsy or stable matters.
Since using NixOS for my home server, I've found it to Just Work™ flawlessly every time.
If anyone reading this has struggled with servers accumulating cruft, and requiring maintainance, I recommend NixOS.
My best cardio is doubtless stair machine while doing Anki with headphones and a small Bluetooth game pad in hand
Ultimately I can memorise 12 words representing my private key. And when the dictatorship finally ends, or I manage to flee, no government can ever freeze my money.
No tax man, no dictator, and no other thief can distinguish someone who memorised 12 words from someone who didn't.
If it's Turing Complete, there will be a LISP for it

There is even a dual 13.3” tablet that has two 13.3” e-ink displays and folds in half.
Do you have a link?
You may want to check this out. It's a monitor using reflective LCD (RLCD)

Have not tried myself and have no affiliation. If anyone here used it, lmk how it works
Hi! I wonder about anyones experience doing full- or part-time van-life, with an electric van (idea sparked by seeing the Tesla car on YouTube) in Europe?
After being a user of languages for a long time, writing my own LISP was the experience of leaving Platons cave and seeing what the thing I use daily really is made of. What is "if"? What is a boolean, a variable, a function?
It's a beautiful thing. I wish I would never have to climb down into the cave (languages with more advanced parsers) again.
First, they came[0] for the nazis - but they didn't use bitcoin...
The evil weakling Swedish prime minister!
Watching "Kingsmen" last night feels very timely.
I also found this: https://www.facebook.com/Funkloch-684514891598702/ which is why I was wondering which of the locations it is.
Where in town is that? I'm getting a few different results when searching. Would love to go and check it out!
They are a great ladder for when one wishes to climb up the shoulders of giants. Much can be learned in blogs, but long-form text is not that easily replaced.
That said, my books-to-read list is ever growing as well...
Would it not be more likely that we Scandinavians would have to use the mainstream system? I'm not Norwegian, but my nation Sweden does this similarly.
If we accept giving our internal revenue services to the EU, I very much doubt that we will be able to keep this sort of thing, such as the principle of things being public (sv: offentlighetsprincipen).
For reasons like this (giving up what is unique about our culture for the mainstream continental one) I can't help but be sceptic of further involvement with European political unity, and am anticipating that Brits of 10 years from now will be satisfied with their decision to leave.
What is the simple way for the Chinese government to find the root cause of muslim terrorism and fix it? The only simple fix (as in simple vs easy) would be genocide or giving them their own independent state. The first option is horrible, and the second is not in the interest of the Chinese gov.
City Planning software is something I've been humming over a lot and for a long time. It's a perfect problem for computation with statistics - figure out practical actionable things for cities to do when optimising for things like walkability, public transit available, available storefront-rentals, et cetera. The world is catching up on the western nations, and the millions of cities joining the global middle class can be billions of dollars more efficient. A true way to better the world. The computational parts are doable (I'll be tech cofounder if required - not a visual artist though) but how is it best used?
