Employee salaries are by FAR the largest expense for these companies.

Office rent is nothing in comparison.

Companies will make decisions based on employee productivity, which IMO, means having people in an office.

By a long shot, the largest expense for large companies in employee salaries - rent, by comparison, is a drop in the bucket. What follows is that companies should be most concerned about employee and team productivity rather then office expenses.

yep, i'm ready go back to the office. This WFH stuff isn't all that it was hyped up to be and from talking to my co-workers, I'm not alone.

I don't think I'd ever work for a company that doesn't have significant in person/office presence.

Not true. Contractors, by law, have the ability to work when/how they want including for multiple clients.

If there is something specific in the contract, it is a civil issue.
