Painful site design, at least change the background. You're not doing yourself any favors with that repeating geometric background. Having your bold text as the same color as the non geometric portion of the background doesn't help either. I hope your burned in subtitles don't make use of the same design principles of anti-contrast and signal hidden in noise.
As a performer, this gratifies my intellectual curiosity. Recently David Olney an American folk singer died on stage in the middle of the performance. His final words and how that all played out struck a chord with me. This was a relatively recent event and the fact that there's a whole listing of such events was intellectually interesting to at least one person anyways.

Journaling can help. At the end of the day, you can write about what was interesting or new about your day.
It also can help to visualize the reader's response. The reader could be anyone, it could be you in the future long after you've forgotten that specific day. It could be a romantic partner. It could be a friend.
Once you have a specific reader visualized, then journaling feels more like having a conversation.

Did it ever occur to you to give your mother an account on your own mail server? If the problem is communicating, using e-mail, with your mother, then that would be an easier solution path than trying to get Google to care about your mail server.
If you configured your server to use SSL, which you absolutely should do, then you would have the added advantage of secure communication as the message would never be sent in the clear over the open Internet.

In terms of anecdotal evidence, I'll drink a serving about 20 minutes before going for a new one rep max on one of the power three (squat, deadlift, bench press), do a little light cardio to get it in to circulation, and have had good results. Some of that is going to be placebo, the belief that it will do that, however, I derive that belief from the evidence presented that something is going on in some beneficial capacity.
PayPal has been doing this sort of thing for years. I had a very beneficial relationship with PayPal in the early 2000's using them for both personal activities and business activities.
When they launched their service to function as a website payment processor, I made use of that as well and it was fantastic.
Then ebay bought them and and they were no longer interested in providing service to anyone that they deemed to be undesirable.
Over the years since then, anyone doing business through them could wake up one day and find that they were the next company / interest / whatever that they decided they didn't like and the story was all the same: held funds, lifetime ban, no discussion, no debate, no recourse.
While it's unfortunate that this particular group of individuals have been targeted by a bunch of jerks, this is known behavior of PayPal as a company. The long and the short of it is that anyone doing business through PayPal is doing business on borrowed time from day one, and it's been that way for over a decade.
Too many dishonest people wasting the time of job applicants. Anyone looking for a job is a fool to submit references before the final stage of receiving a job offer. Disagree with your premise 100%.
