the alt-pg up/dwn feature to adjust brightness is pretty great. the fact that it rolls back in the morning is pretty clever, i always found myself having to fidget with settings on my monitor.

i wish more devices, like tvs, had flux baked in.

this brings up an interesting point. how difficult would it be to automate scraping off of one of these services?

i tried offering my help, mostly for web and icon work, but the developers never responded. i'm sure i'm not the first.

they got the name out, and are disconnected from christoforo. this is what i'd call a cheap slam dunk.

awesome. i'm going to have some fun with this and my hmd-z1 (right click > 3d mode on) when it comes in!

it's really staggering the amount of work and data google is offering up here.

this might sound lazy, but why don't you scrape the content (description, icon, screens) when i add my app?

it's better than people are making it out to be. if you enjoyed the first, you'll enjoy the nostalgia. it's a little uneven in terms of fun and pacing (as such a frakenstein'ish project with multiple hands and such a long development cycle will lead to), but i think it's worth playing.

while i use icab 99% of the time, i've hit a few limits. first off, not being able to set it as a default browser is frustrating. secondly, i've found a few rendering differences between it and safari: onswipe (the tablet theme powering wordpress.com blogs) and google font api being the two biggest ones i've ran into recently.

people (non-hackers) are searching for content (and people) on facebook. pages alone host a considerable amount of fresh content from businesses, institutions and organizations.

you do have to consider many of those searches as looking for stuff already in their social graph (friends, pages, etc). i know i use their search to navigate all the time.
