Well educated as they are, skilled people usually don't prefer to live illegally. And that's why you will most likely see ex-illegals and unskilled people receiving green cards or citizenship in US.

This history sounds weird for me as he was in a relationship for 5 years and haven't even tried to marry with the girl to fix his status. The only safe way to stay in US is by getting married, what give to the skilled workers the same level of opportunity given to illegals. An immigration policy that encourages the fraud.

Forget the immigration laws.... It's impossible to live legally in US as skilled worker or anything like this. I know a lot of people who went there, lived as illegals without graduation or any kind of specialization for a long time and now they have green card or citizenship. But I also know two guys who had H1B or academic visas, the only one who is still there got married, to other one had to come back.

To be honest I don't know. And I don't think that Europe is open for us. Brazil exported a lot of non skilled illegals for everywhere in past. The Spanish, for example, seem to hate us. They love to establish their corrupt companies here in our territory, what is a very profitable place due to our huge life cost, but they don't like our people there.

What happens is that there are a lot of descendants of Italians, Japaneses and others living here that can easier move abroad. Note that "easier" is not "easily" and it's also not my case.

Here in Brazil the main reason for these rejections, what I suppose to be in more than 90% of times, are the salary expectations. It's the first thing they ask about and, even if they call you for personal interview, it's only to build a large number of candidates because they will choose the cheaper one. Almost all the times you will never even receive a return.

Software engineering are positions suitable for kids of that guys who lives with parents forever. It's not possible to have a family o raise children with these kind of careers.

I'm so regretful for dedicating my whole life working with IT and computer programming. I was so curious in the beginning, but nowadays I fell like I was stupid.

I'm also unemployed because I left a position in a bad company about three weeks ago. The last information I received states that a lot of people are leaving as well.

Well... I prefer to say that I worked as freelancer or even as a employee, only describing the project and how I participated technically, strongly avoiding to mention shareholding in companies or startups. Even doing it, I already heard from recruiters that the position is not suitable to me because I'm seeing to be a lot autodidact only due to my diversity of experience in technical areas without any related formal education.

Sometimes I think that there are not positions in Brazilian labor market for who is really competent and resourceful. They prefer to hire a bigger set of poorly prepared people because this is how the corrupt outsourcing market makes money.

The final customer pays about 100% with everything needed to receive the product at home if bought from US (ebay or whatever) for example. The importation taxes and handling costs alone does not explain this difference. We are gonna see all PS4 consoles coming here from Paraguay as usually.

And, considering the corrupt chain of outsourcing related to most of IT projects here, maybe would be safer for us to stay being spied by NSA and other agencies.

This company seems to be hiring in Brazil through a intermediate company that does not even have a website and also seems to explore IT professionals in a kind of self-employment that violates the local law.
