I’m curious what specific problem Files.md aims to solve as an open-source alternative to Obsidian. Since Obsidian already uses open data stored as Markdown of my choice as well as plugins are open-source - my only real pain point is seamless online & offline syncing between my laptop and mobile phone. I’ve tried a few options, including iCloud Drive, but they are not quite reliably as Obsidian’s paid sync service. Would Files.md offer a better sync alternative?

Same here. Close to 3 years into my first full-time job.

Instead of seeking employment, did you consider creating employment? After being on the job for 3 years, one could identify some repeated problems/gaps. This could be potential startup business idea. I have been a database analyst for coming to 3 years, doing loads of data migration. I saw some gaps that is pretty potential in it too.

Or did you consider furthering your studies to enhance your skillset with e.g. M.Sc. Computer Science?

I am weighing my options.

1. Website: HN

2. Website: Echojs for my JavaScript interest

3. Website: Subreddit Programming for my general interest in programming

4. Magazine: Harvard Business Review for understanding business needs. Reading business case studies help to align my tech skills with business needs. I find this combination particularly essential.

5. Magazine: MIT Technology Review for tech related research

6. Podcast: Nodeup for my nodejs interest

7. Website: Producthunt for uncovering products that I dont know.

Lastly something which you didn't ask. But I want to share is books and video tutorials. Books and videos recommendation is a whole new topic.
