A woman was burned alive on the subway by an illegal immigrant. That only happens when law enforcement has been categorically denied the opportunity to punish law breakers of all stripes.

I've had to actually diagnose myself a couple times after seeing a string of doctors and even specialists. It's baffling how bad my experience has been and it's not just one specialty, and I have good insurance too.

The past century is defined by Progressivism, from the New Deal and subsequent Great Society, which was hoisted by the World Wars and complete centralization of society into the administrative state run by supposed experts.

At every level it's been experts and intellectuals of all sorts, think someone like Paul Krugman - there's countless others, who we're told have it all figured out and we should simply accept all their demands and if anyone disagrees well they're rubes and what do they know.

I think we should ignore people in universities since they're the ones who brought us here, advising us to embrace global trade and admit China into the WTO under the obviously wrong thinking that trade would somehow magically transform them into a liberalized ally.

I don't believe this at all, they're unlikely to not comply and execute arbitrary commands. Which at least in my experience is orthogonal to whether they're able to actually problem solve or build good things.

On the other hand, the price has steadily risen far beyond any other investment over the past 15 years and there's a credible argument for why this would continue. The amount of money recouped by selling, which is only done once, is far less than the continuous payments of the absurdly bloated and outright criminal administrative state and so many other federal programs.

The great part about Bitcoin is that it can be time-locked to avoid spending to prevent, say, changing political parties that may decide to liquidate the reserve.
