As far as I know, anosmia would be the inability to smell. Parosmia would be scents smelling like other things, or the inability to identify certain smells.
And since taste and smell are so closely related, I haven’t been able to drink colas for about 3 years. Dr Pepper is fine though, so I’m okay.
How long until the AI estimates how fast you were going based on the time you were tagged at 2 cameras? The system says travel between these cameras should take 3 minutes. You made it in 2:45. No review, just a ticket in the mail.

Exactly my experience. After my last couple races or long workouts, my HRV dipped a few ms for a few days before coming back to normal. In this case, it’s not telling me anything I don’t already know. But in other instances, a lower HRV would make me consider slowing down a bit.
I’ve heard about 75-85/25-15, but just round it to 80/20.
Zone 3/Tempo sessions can help to raise speed so that Z2 is faster for the same intensity.
Obviously lower intensity workouts can go for longer and the high z5 stuff for fairly short intervals across short sessions.
Careful there. By combining running and cycling, you’re 2/3 of the way to triathlons. And why suck at 1 sport when you can suck at 3?
I mean, he was a professional athlete, so that’s kind of the point he was making. As you progress in fitness, it sucks less which means your body has adapted and you can go faster/ harder/ longer.

As a non-developer, the whole situation with a bad software update to the Voyager spacecraft really puts things into perspective as far as how bad remote updates can be.

Not exactly. I work as a project manager in the transportation field, and I can tell you that inflation has doubled (or more) the cost of several of my projects in the past few years. Most of the increases can be attributed to rising costs, and not necessarily scope changes.
Combined with limited funding, the projects continue to get delayed.
And, unless I missed something, will not come with CarPlay or Android Auto.
It certainly caused me to rethink my spending. I signed up for Apple One Premium as soon as it was available. With the latest hikes, I’ve ditched the bundle and now I just have Music and iCloud storage.
So in their quest for increased revenue, I’m now spending less than I was before.
Also dropped Prime and Netflix (though basic is included for no additional cost with T-Mo).
I’ve had this for the past 6 months. I’d honestly rather have entirely lost my sense of smell than to go through this.

True. Also the consumer tradeoff of being able to do way more with your phone for the slight inconvenience of having to charge your phone everyday.
And with the advances in technology, most people can get slightly more than a day which means the phone gets charged overnight. And that’s not really an inconvenience at all.

The animal in question being an alligator, I’d assume the owner and pet would split up and see each other later.
However, if the animal in question had been a crocodile, I assume they would have split and met back up after a while.
If this were about the younger generations being unable to afford housing, the sentiment would be to stop ordering avocado toast and going to Starbucks all the time. Obviously the problem is much bigger and complex, and maybe something will finally be done to fix this for everyone.

It’s the worst of all possible outcomes. Minimum wage stagnated and employees demanded better pay. Covid hit and forced fast food restaurants to adjust operations. Prices increased due to “inflation”, but really it’s just massive corporate profits. Front-of-house employees have been replaced by kiosks and self-service.
For the first time in many years, I had Steak N Shake. Had to order from a kiosk, get my own drink, and pick up my own food (it had previously been a full-service restaurant). That by itself wasn’t a big deal, but the kiosk had the nerve to ask for a tip! We didn’t all the work, so no thanks.
So the 30% raise is for fewer workers, and the costs (and work) will be passed on to the customers.
Best thing I ever did was unfollow everyone in my LI network. I don’t see any of the toxic positivity posts, or the “I’m so proud of myself” posts or the “I accepted X position with Y” posts.
