It's simple, readable, editable, composable

I'll eat crow if wrong, but I'm guessing I know more about GNU make than you do. It is none of the four things you claim. Also, people who say "on the tin" need a good ass-kicking.

Is the presentation bird alive or dead? What is "fired" in this context? Is the presentation bird unrested? What does "rested" mean in this context? Why does the kitchen need to "butcher" the chicken that's "rested"? Doesn't that mean the rested chicken is still alive? What does "slowing" the other, presumably presentation, chicken mean?

No, lisp is not the Linux of languages. Steve Yegge sums it up "Every single non-standard extension, everything not in the spec, is 'wrong' with Common Lisp. This includes any support for threads, filesystem access, processes and IPC, operating system interoperability, a GUI, Unicode, ..."

And to answer your last question, no, lisp cannot read like English since predicate precedes subject a la Yodaspeak.

No, intellectual property is as evil as nuclear codes, Coke, or Disney. The free software zealots started out as normal guys looking to save a buck and only later came to justify their cheapness with some insane moral legerdemain.

Pay-for closed-source is profitable for about a week. Then some asshole offers a shittier but free facsimile and community contributions render it good enough to kill the original.

Build a big enough userbase for big tech to want to buy it. It's the only game left outside ads. Worked for WhatsApp, Instagram, Github, Kaggle, etc.

You've dedicated your adult life to massaging ABIs and openly admit your "non-polished" solution is an idealistic holy grail, and yet you expect some text editor with a non-existent path to profitability to have hewn to your every private thought about Linux binary versatility, and that sir is bullshit.

gitawonk.com's premise is hosting your repo but charges cloners $2 to get full commit history. We do for software what itunes did for music. Yeah, we all know you can get the song on youtube for free, but pay us a pittance and we'll make it more convenient.
