I am a mid-level developer who likes to work mostly on backend API development and integrations. I enjoy refactoring just as much as creating from scratch, and I know the importance of documentation and good communication. I give back to my community using my skills and am eager to grow with good mentors.

Then, assuming those kinds of images are against your TOS, then you ban them. This drastically reduces the number of images of that nature that are uploaded not only by ensuring they can't do it again but also by heavily disincentivizing them from doing it in the first place.

It's definitely true for me. Working from home, I see my neighbors before work, during lunch, and after work much more than when they were going to the office. Especially, during lunch time, I see a lot more people that actually live near me out and about instead of people that happen to work in my general area that I'd typically never see after work or on the weekend since they'd go back to their own neighborhoods.

I mean, that's just not true. The basic VS Code install will tell you the line and column numbers in the status bar without any plugins.

Usually, the only plugins I need to install is the language server plugin for whatever language I'm using. At least, that works for Go and Python while Node and JS/TS work right out of the box.

They’ll just increase their base pensions and budgets to calculate in the expected costs from the settlements. All this will do is destroy the budgets and pensions in one-off cases where the act is egregious enough for the cost to be 10x any expected costs.

Yet, a consulting company that constantly has overrun projects won’t get repeat business nearly as much as the company that comes in and gets things done. PR and marketing may help you land your first project with a client, but it’s only good work that will keep that client coming back to you. Otherwise they’ll replace you with different consultants.

GME doesn't care if they pop the bubble though. They know their shares aren't actually worth $350 and they're not making strategic decisions based on them being worth that much. They'd much rather issue more shares, take the increase they get, and get back to their own business.

That's very interesting information, thank you for taking time to research this and explain it in a friendly and informative way. I am from Texas, so I admit most of my knowledge comes from my own state's laws. If I'm not mistaken we are in agreement that the looters lives should not be at risk in this situation and that Minnesota law will likely not protect an equivalent of what the Korean population did in LA during their riots, when they took to protecting their shops by getting on their roofs with rifles.

Well, it is not legal to shoot someone for stealing in Minnesota so I'm not sure how this would be lawful violence. He would need to have said something like "when the looting starts, we will attempt to arrest anyone that we see, if they then threaten the officers' lives instead of stopping or running away, then the shooting starts".

It is NOT legal for the Minnesota police to shoot a citizen that they believe is committing a crime unless their life or another person's life is under direct threat.

Well, it is a private company's site, so I would assume the corporation. If I walked into a Starbucks and started being rude to patrons, I can easily be removed on a whim. Just because it is a place that encourages social interactions does not mean that they have to allow interactions they do not like. I do not see the difference here.

Twitter is used for formal announcements because Trump himself has decided that it is a good place to make them, not because Twitter has placed themselves in that position. Granted, they make like being in that position and it probably benefits them greatly due to the increased ad revenue and engagement, but they can also make the decision that his presence is not worth the vitriol it generates. He can easily choose another avenue (Facebook, Reddit, News media, etc) to make announcements if it is no longer the best choice for him.

Yes, but there are infinitely more lies than there are truths. If 80% of lies result in a cache miss then you are in the same position. Especially when it is easy to create a lie that is very hard to disprove.

We are dealing with this in south Dallas right now. Many of the kids don't have access to computers or internet at home and the libraries and other places with hotspots (coffee shops, mcdonalds, etc) that kids normally go to to for internet are all closed.

The districts are planning on giving kids Chromebooks for classes but they are also figuring out how to give them personal hotspots or enable LTE on the Chromebooks. Overall, it seems most of Juniors and Seniors that couldn't afford internet before and were close to dropping out to help pay their family's bills just got their parent's approval to start working instead of going to school.

It will be very interesting (and sad) to see how this affects graduation rates and preparedness for classes come fall.

Yeah, I've seen at least on of their buildings up in the North Dallas/Plano area by my apartment. I've looked them up but all their engineering-specific jobs seem to be out of their Santa Clara office. Do you know if they have engineering positions in North Dallas? If so, introductions would be fantastic.

The chromium base is very well supported, I like and am familiar with the dev tools, and the battery life has also been much better than Firefox on OS X. I would prefer to use Firefox for everything but I run into enough small issues that I prefer to use Edge. I'd run Chrome if it didn't have so much of Google hidden in all the nooks and crannies.
