My biggest bottleneck right now is upload speed but I'll keep it in mind thanks.

Been working on a dashboard that takes in a bunch of different public data sources in different formats and pandas has truly been a godsend for this.
I've got csv, txt, xlsx in all different shapes and sizes and with just a few settings I can go through them quite easily and very fast as well.
Been following this channel since the very early days and it's honestly mindblowing the scale and attention to detail of these models.

He's one of the OG woodworkers on Youtube. Just went to check and I've been subscribed for 15 years apparently. Always happy to see one of his videos pop up.
This sounds like the beginning of a Horror movie, but also colors me hopeful for a future where people born with my mothers disease (SCA) will have some kind of cure to halt or revert the loss of brain tissue ?
I don't think I've seen a desktop with a dvd reader in years. I couldn't even install one in mine if I wanted to, it's all just fans on the front.
I've been in Luxembourg many times on our way from Belgium to France or Germany, but only last year I visited it for the first time. We did one of the Mullertal trails in 3 days and it's an absolutely beautiful little country.
Obisidian with icloud Drive sync is pretty sweet.
About 146 assuming a bus weighs about 3.5 giraffes.
The change started well before 2014 but social media mostly.
I just spat out my tea reading this comment.
I feel like Freeform is gonna be quite a setback for a lot of these infinite canvas drawing/notes apps.
More features is not a great indicator of quality.
Sketch also used this model for a long time. You pay for a year of updates, and you can keep the last version you got forever.
Recently they started to add more cloud/collaboration services/a web app and switched to a regular old subscription model, but you can bet your ass i'm staying on the legacy model for as long as I can.
I thought I did this as well, but I went to check my plugins after reading this comment and I just disabled at least 30 plugins. Thanks !
Hell I park my car in an underground parking garage, and it's been a whole discussion about who wants to and how they want to install 7kW/11/kW chargers. In the meantime I just charge it on the wall plug now and then. Yeah sometimes my battery is not fully charged, but I hardly ever drive 450km in one go anyway.
The most important reason that I'm somewhat of a treehugger is because trees are just nice. Walking in a forest is nice, taking my dog for a walk outside in nature is nice, hearing the birds chirp is nice too.
I realise this isn't reddit. But this totally unlocked this memory in my mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KL3EwjWhyUU
Cool, my street was already there in 1777. I absolute love this.
Hindsight is 20/20
I did not know Virtual Model Railroading was a thing. What software do you use for it ?
Same here. Had such a long streak going as well.
My car has two wireless charge pads and it's honestly one of the best features.
I'm running a bunch of Drupal sites in docker on a M1 macbook Air and it's running much much faster than docker for mac on the 2014 Macbook Pro I had before. The docker images we're using (wodby-drupal) only recently started supporting arm64 properly though so I had the new laptop a few weeks before it was actually usable but now I'm very happy.
Haven't been able to run a php 5.3 container yet though for this one project that is pretty much on life support.
Anecdotal annoyance with automatic face tagging: Old dog and new dog look very similar. Google keeps tagging my new dog as if he were my old dog and I haven't found a way to fix that without manually going through every single picture and untagging/retagging.
This brought back a long lost memory of when before we had internet at home. My dad took me to an internet cafe and I had printed a whole list beforehand of sites I wanted to visit. I had just guessed a bunch of random domain names based on my interests and things I thought would have a cool website. Stuff like porshe.com, titanic.com, mountainbiking.com, spaceshuttle.com.
Just mention that you've never even heard about the coronavirus in the video and you'll be good.
This drives me crazy as well. Even sillier is that at my local supermarket where I can either buy regular tomatoes in bulk and take them home in a paper bag that the store provides or just in my reusable bag or I can buy the biologic organic tomatoes that are packaged by 6 in a little cardboard tray and wrapped in plastic.
Didn't really know about this platform, but to me it looks like it could perfectly be kept in some kind of read-only mode without costing all that much for Google.
