Most RBLs are scams. No competent mail admin uses them to block mail ever.

And of course after registering with foo+bar@example.com they will happily send invoices to bar@example.com

The + has no special meaning in the standards, and thus removing it will just result in invalid addresses in many cases…

It's well-known that all commercial models are based on stolen content. That doesn't mean there is no filtering/censoring, just that the censoring likely depends on where it's happening…

In many countries it is mandatory to mark any form of compensated advertising as such. If your claim is true they might be breaking some laws here & there…

Using OCR you could reduce that to seconds.

While I do get a lot of mail, including a lot of spam, it’s not that bad.

And the real problem is that most commercial companies make their legitimate administrative/legal mails look more & more like spam or phishing mails, not the other way around.

I get those too, and I don’t even have any Microsoft accounts. So I assume at least some of them are not real. ;)

And for a company, not having to train people on all new applications at once might be what makes it _practically_ possible at all.

Not all "hostname lookups" by applications happen over DNS (or the DNS is done by something like systemd-resolved, which is often using encrypted lookups), so in many cases, depending on NSS configuration (e.g. 'file', 'resolve', 'db', 'nis', 'mymachines', 'libvirt', 'winbind', ...) this would never work?

WiFi works fine if there are drivers for whatever WiFi chip you have.

Unfortunately there are no standards for OS to talk to WiFi devices like exist for many other types of hardware, so it’s not possible to make generic drivers.

It seems like this was implemented as a way to insert tips, and then abused to insert ads, so the developers involved might not have been aware of that part until later?

I know where the nuclear waste is stored here. Its storage is funded by the government for now (not included in electricity prices) and nobody can actually prove it will be safe for the centuries it will be dangerous.

There is a Belgian company that can use temperarure & other fluctuations in underseas power & cimmunication cables to detect nearby objects etc. I'm sure they are willing to help the US navy if they can convince them the US is a solid NATO partner… ( oh, wait, that might have become difficult…)

They are not (necessarily) invisible, that depends on size & many other variables.

Also, hypersonic missiles are perfectly vusible on radar.

Venezuelan oil is more about US refineries that can only use very heavy oil, and US wells for such oil running out. Those refineries decided it is cheaper to bribe Trump than to invest into converting their factories. They are using US tax payer dolars (in a war with Venezuela) to avoid having to invest into their own conpanies.

There is also a significant cost to moving electricity production from a relatively small number of centralised plants to almost everywhere. Once the infrastructure is adapted to that, costs should normalise again.

Doctors should never deny patients.

They can take precautions & insist on proper treatments, of course.

Should be easy enough to use some form of active noise cancelling for that.
