No, I would not pay for an idea.

I saw this on reddit yesterday. I love the simplicity, and I see you've been changing some parts of the UI today (which looks very nice). It's a very useful tool. We've been messing around with it at work throughout the day, and everyone's liked it so far.

My only question is how do you pronounce the name? Since I can't settle on a pronunciation, the name is not too memorable for me as of right now.

As for the pay options, it really depends on how much you plan to charge, and what features would be provided in the paid version. Overall, it is a really useful tool and my coworkers and I will definitely be using it for our projects.

I took a quick look at the signup process. My question to you is do you need details like Company/Organization (optional), First Name, Last Name, and even Email?

I'm not sure how the software works, but do you feel that these details are necessary for the initial signup process?

The reason I ask is that a longer signup process, and the more details you ask for right off the bat, the more daunting it is to users. If it's not much trouble, I would suggest stripping out those that are not absolutely necessary to allow for users to signup quickly and easily and begin playing around with the actual features your system provides them with.

You could always request these details, along with a payment option, once the 30-day free trial has ended in order to sign them up as a paid user.

I wasn't disagreeing with your argument. I mainly just wanted to clarify a few things for the OP.

RoR is clearly a better language

I'm not sure if you made a mistake here, but RoR is a framework. Ruby is a language. RoR shouldn't be compared to PHP. If anything, it should be compared to one of the many PHP frameworks out there.

I agree that there are a great deal of jobs for PHP, but I disagree that "It's where the jobs are." There are a great deal of jobs around for RoR.
