Yeah but job skills can be replicated instantly, but major organs that’s where the moneys at.

Is ChatGPT a senior engineer because it knows everything or a junior engineer because it will do anything you ask for?
Okay then read it to me.
Yes one page with 3 buttons the buttons should be 1/3 the size of the page seems obvious literally an advanced computer algorithm determined this, but seems extremely obvious to me.
No you just have an opinion. If you believe two contradictory things you’re just lying to yourself. Left wing people comprise 90% of the population of Earth. They just don’t owe media outlets. I don’t know a single Republican and it’s like they are hiding their views all the time in shame.
Ironic how long and empty this argument is, kinda proves my point. Who cares? I want an average website not a weird one.
Why? Python is already 10x the usage of Ruby outside of AI? Find a recent grad who even knows what Ruby is.
That’s going to reassure nobody.
Look AI seems important now, but firearms ultimately are the real efficiency multiplier.
Market forces will ensure this system isn’t utilized regardless of how good it is. Ruby is simply to similar to Python to consider training people solely in that.
It’s a hard reality because I’m sure Ruby is better according to some criteria, but be realistic their share of the market is going to shrink until it’s not really an option of most large companies.
I know people will disagree with me, but I wish I knew earlier in my Carr how little this sort of thing matters.
Why are we supposed appreciate unique web design?
The best designed sites I use are those cookie-cutter illegal sports steaming sites because their design is so similar I can navigate them all the same way.
I mean the joke should be that this actually the best website design because this is basically where response design peaked.
Convince me a human can actually do better than this. It’s unclear what more is actually required from a website other than this. They point out things like not understanding authentication is bad, but at least the AI won’t develop a fundamentally incorrect idea about it like a human would.
Nobody ever got fired for checking ChatGPT for something that they didn’t know, but plenty of people without it have just made mistakes carefully read documentation and misinterpreting it.
I’m basically saying the lying is going one way because equally absurd claims by the left are suppressed as crazy, but only because they aren’t allowed to become as ubiquitous as crazy right wing claims.
Left wing people suppose it’s a free speech issue, but it’s just the normalization of criminal behavior. I can accuse the government of anything and they can’t respond, but the Republicans will always they can retaliate against lies. If I said about a CEO what they said about FEMA employees I’d go to jail.
So you admit it! Only a crazy person would think that left wing person would do something like that. You can share your thoughts if you want though, either claim is valid under the law.
It’s honestly becoming a national subculture. Being a “burnout”. In tech burnout means you’re exhausted on working on things. In America “a burnout” is someone so deeply in debt they don’t even try to really pay it off, they just ignore the debt and spend money on cheap thrills when they can. Obviously not something that you advertise about yourself, but go to any bar in rural south and they know what am talking about.
As bad as the debt situation is in the US there’s not much a collection agency can do to force you to pay relatively petty sums under 100,000 they will just harass you basically.
The Roman proverb goes “The begger laughs in the face of the bandit” so burnouts spread money before it can be taken from them, then turn around and beg for more. A person who’s established this mentality, the exact amount they owe is the least of there problems.
I’m really glad this article acknowledges that better access to antibiotics is probably the best solution to the problem. I’ve actually heard people argue the opposite.
Many people, even doctors will blame patients for creating antibiotics resistant strains. While it’s true that a resistant strain can develop and spread due to an individual’s actions, those strains will gradually lose their resistance once no longer exposed to antibiotics, so it’s probably better have antibiotics be accessible drugs everywhere to prevent any initial spread and just trust people won’t use them chronically for no reason. Though I’d argue lack of access to antibiotics contributes more to the spread of disease then careless patients stuffing down their mouths, it really depends on what type of bacteria it is. Patients with viruses often misdiagnose themselves as needing antibiotics and that’s another reason it’s not over the counter, that builds resistant bacteria, not inside the patient but in the external environment due to excretion in urine etc.
Doctors will often chide patients for not taking the whole bottle of antibiotics once they stop feeling symptoms as if this gives more opportunity for the resistant strain to spread. It’s true it’s probably safer to totally ensure you are free of disease before stopping a medication, but increasing the overall level of antibiotics in the environment boosts resistance in every case. As people on this thread have pointed out the mass use of antibiotics in cattle farming is going to contribute significantly to resistance because it permanently increases the amount of antibiotics in the environment. Other than stopping that not much can be done to prevent this
It’s kind of a non-issue on an individual level as resistant strains lose resistance over relatively short periods time, once no longer exposed to the antibiotic, people just assume if the bacteria evolved an advantageous trait it will never lose that trait even though it’s no longer advantageous once it’s environment returns to normal.
Yeah actually I don’t need to be in agony or improve my outlook at all or even understand my motivations for my own actions to be happy. I needed real medical care. Therapists think pain can teach you to accept something, but true pain, it can’t teach you anything. It only makes you a worse person. There’s no possibility for the rationalization of true agony. Attempts to do so simply lead to worse, more dangerous mental problems.
The majority of people are tourists in the world of pain. They enter, make observations, then exit, assured that they had a harrowing experience. But for those of us who are residents in the city of pain, we know it stinks and it will grind us down until we become evil people. We are stuck there due to some kind of undeserved poverty which is not within our power to control. No amount of compromise or contemplation can escape you from a physical prison. It’s a cage that exists inside you rather than around you and it does nothing to shake the bars other than annoy the tourists who gawk as they pass by.
I know that’s pretty dark, but people simply will never acknowledge that life long happiness is somewhat dependent on luck. It would likely cause society to fail if the lucky people realized evil people were actually equally self aware but just fundamentally less lucky and under the influence of random inexplicable pain, that’s just a result of human biology. People just reject this idea even though it’s obviously true. Therapists simply don’t understand this simple fact because it’s not their job, they are there to guide the tourists.
Yeah it’s not in good faith. I think it’s really stupid obviously misinformation. Duh.
No didn’t read the paper. Yes it’s it’s extremely hand wavy of measurement. You can’t develop a methodology to determine if you have a chronic disease in less time then a a disease can be discovered are determined to be chronic. Duh.
Except that’s not at all how the economy works. The government will simply double or triple the debt again and the economy will continue to grow in size as the nominal value of currency goes down giving the illusion that prices are going up.
Literally the exact same thing that’s been happening since Andrew Jackson was president. There’s no magical collection agency that will force people to start plowing the fields to pay taxes. There’s no magical resource that we will run out of the government will just pay people to build infrastructure that will prop up businesses run by idiotic MBAs like it’s always been.
Yeah sounds like you get your medical advice from the Kremlin. There no conspiracy to hide the medical benefits of leaching, can you imagine if that actually worked? Every doctor in the world would have to be a complete moron not to notice.
Yeah the paper is just lying. “Long Covid” is just a typical response to a severe flu. Many people are just ignorant of the fact that flus can weaken the immune system past the initial infection. It’s well meaning attempt to understand common flu symptoms but they are just relating to COVID to get more clicks and funding.
I saw many therapists and I have pretty mixed feelings about it. I honestly it did a lot for me when a therapist simply said “Wow that’s a bad situation I feel really bad for you. It so unfair.”
But anytime I looked for instructions or objectives on how to improve my life they would basically say “I can’t tell you exactly what to do, you need to come to that conclusion for yourself.” The problem was I genuinely didn’t know what to do. They always tried to see things from my side, but never really believed that spending my night in a drunken stupor watching TV until I passed out was actually contributing to my happiness more than being in agony every night slowly building my contempt for humanity. Even though it’s against their training, they can’t help but judge you lifestyle and unusually that manifests as silence on important issues instead of disagreement.
Ok how many pro- sub stack posts do I need to make so my multiple accounts get the ability to flag stuff? Only kidding but don’t give me that BS.
I run a collection on AI. The view/download numbers are very likely the result of random botting and make no logical sense in terms of rationally what you’d expect to see. I’ll see an item downloaded 10000x normal numbers for one day etc.
As for the AWS stuff. Look at the ties between these organizations, pretty clear Amazon is basically self-dealing via a non-profit to write stuff off or have some other scheme.
I was an “alcoholic” for many years. It ruined my life and alienated me from many people I love.
Then I met a wonderful woman who wouldn’t give up on me. We went to the doctor over and over again until I was diagnosed with dystonia, a disease which alcohol relieves the painful symptoms of. Once I knew that I wasn’t simply cured, but I had the hope and the knowledge to see though my pain.
Many other drugs are the same way. It’s easier to get these classes of drug illegally rather than legally. People who do these drugs know there’s something wrong with them, but they remain defiant and strong in the face of a society projecting its own decadence onto them.
If you do drugs or alcohol and you know it hurts you and want to stop, there is always hope for you as long as you can accept help. I know from experience.
And to all you who need drugs, but reject a diagnosis. As Big L said “If that’s what you need to maintain, go ahead and do your thang.”
Yeah but their view and download metrics are flat out wrong all the time. If they weren’t a nonprofit they’d be sued for that. But still great company a place for obsolete AWS equipment to retire.

Well I’m celebrating my 10th anniversary in April, but it it’s how you play your cards. I just go to meetings keep up with the stack and agree with everything. The developers love me because I will always endorse any decision they make. Product loves me because I’m bailing out projects the seniors won’t touch. If I succeed, Product hero, if i fail well we should have listened to the engineers in the first place.
Might be true most places, but I’m paid 80k and essentially report to no one and do next nothing 10 months of the year with no real supervision or expectation. My employer struggles to find people with my exact stack who doesn’t expect over 100k.
If you follow American football it’s often said the best job on the team is the back-up Quarterback. Because they sit on the bench all year and still get to get a sizable check considering. Pretty much the position I find myself in.
