This is not off-topic: the genocide is being enabled by some of the tech companies constantly discussed on HN! and the stories of their employees resisting (or not) is newsworthy for this site, whose readership is largely these employees

I think it’s more a case of Americans not realizing that their liberal party is rather right-wing, possibly because there’s nothing to the left of it and the US media falsely conflates “liberal” and “left”.
