sorry, paul graham gets first the option to seed fund it. thats the gentlemanly thing to do, since this is his bulletin board. i'll explain to you how the world works in exchange for equity in that case.
super edit: i'll seed fund it. i'm old, bitter, and have money.
look kids, the system is rigged. you dont organize, you dont form voting groups based on your issues, you dont get involved in politics, and when the rules bend the odds vehemently against you, you go to a social media website and bitch about it.
when are you losers going to wake the hell up?
and oh yeah, Aaron Shwartz, never forget.
edit: you know theres a business opportunity right there. you know crowd funding? how about crowd voting? that'll teach em.
suggestion: every company that receives one of these things should incorporate in nigeria or something, till US lawmakers wake the fuck up.
edit: bah. im not here to educate you.
Bashing z-cloud is unwarranted and irrelevant to the point you make. A piece of technology that saves a company millions of dollars has no place in your diatribe against its management or creative output.
I heard he only writes when someone sacrifices a goat in his name. That's your cue.
Agreed.
Lets look at the investor list: Seed was Baseline Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz. A-round was Adam D'Angelo, Jack Dorsey, Chris Sacca, Baseline Ventures, and Benchmark Capital. Then there was Joshua Kushner, and John Lilly.
Wait, who?
Adam D'Angelo - Quora founder. More importantly, "He was chief technology officer of Facebook, and also served as its vice president of engineering" . Top 25 TopCoder participant, respect.
Jack Dorsey - Twitter and Square founder
Joshua Kushner - son of the real estate mogul Charles B. Kushner and brother of Jared Kushner, owner of The New York Observer
We already know one of the founders went to school with Zuck. Cant find citations now, but it was in an online interview.
So it sure helps to be school buddies with Zuck, have ex-Facebook CTO and Zuck friends as investor, and new media (twitter) and old media (kushner famliy) owners as well.
