I think scrubs get washed much more often than white coats. That makes them more hygienic.

There's a difference between argument through reason and manipulation. I think this guy is teaching his kids to be manipulative.

The little dialog above shows that the daughter doesn't care a wit about how her father feels, she's just using the emotion as a point of leverage. If I had kids and they did this to me, it would sadden me.

So this is kind of like the study of how humans think ... or their "cognition", say. You could call it a ... cognitive science.

I only mention this because the phrase "cognitive science" isn't mentioned once in the linked article or the call for proposals. Cognitive scientists have been working on the problem of finding the "algorithms of thought" for decades. Look at Marr's Vision, or Randy Gallistel's body of work (in particular his new book Memory and the computational brain) for examples.

The killer feature is that it reads PDFs natively now (i.e., without having to convert them). For someone who prefers to read on screen and who has to read a lot of PDFs, this is very exciting.

Can't this be done with Gmail and "+" addressing?

Just give sitename the address username+sitename@gmail.com and when they start sending you spam, make a filter on that address.
