Going through University and working in tech has been extremely hard for me. I'm terrible at it. Sure, I can come up with an algorithm, I can write code, but something about doing mental work is extremely laborious to me. I spend 30 minutes panicking before I can even open an email.

This past year I took a break and went to work with my Arborist friend as a groundsman. Do I still have ADD? Probably? I can't tell. None of those ADD issues come up unless I'm working on a computer. The tree business has been going well and the work has expanded into all kinds of new opportunities. I don't think I'm going back. Especially if medication is necessary for me to succeed.

Our neighbor started doing this with my dad. My dad was a school teacher and didn't have any sort of content to plagiarize. The man started buying the same clothing as my father, the same surfboard, same car, dyed his hair the same color and got the same haircut, got fake glasses in the same style and even started copying his mannerisms. It was bizarre. We moved shortly after it started for unrelated reasons but it was pretty terrifying as a young kid.

Interestingly enough, he was a PHD student.

My grandfather on my moms side smoked weed, ran marathons, kept his faculty position at the University, and took up new hobbies, up until the Alzheimers went to far to do any of that. My grandfather on my dads side lead a similar lifestyle (minus the the weed smoking) and ended up in the same situation. Studies are always coming out saying that these things are all helpful, but at the end of the day how long do you get to live and can you really beat your genes?

I don't feel strung out nor is it some addiction. Ignore the people screaming about Adderall being "literal meth" and how it will certainly kill you. Even with an addictive personality, it's very easy to avoid over-doing it (hint: only take it as prescribed).

Low dose meth does work pretty similar to Adderall. Everyone who does meth does not become a meth addict. Most don't. But the people who become meth addicts are the same people who end up using adderall like methheads.

Which is why I personally don't have an Adderall prescription. Because if I have a bottle of Adderall I'm going to attempt a prescribed dose on day one and start snorting it by day three.

The biggest /b/tard I knew growing up now works at a bank and actually has had multiple large windfalls from bitcoin,TSLA stocks and Pokemon cards.

Programmers that work on applications that don't work properly due to performance reasons don't optimize enough.

Programmers that work on applications that work properly spend the correct amount of time optimizing.

Programmers that work on applications that don't work or don't get finished may or may not spend enough time optimizing.

Have a conversation that's more reasonable. Instead of "Do black people deserve to live" which we all agree with, we can have talks of, "What are the reasons for poverty and violence in the black community." And maybe not calling everyone with a non-woke perspective a racist or an uncle Tom.

As someone who had GBS and was put into a coma at 16. I'm very uneasy about the vaccine, but I also don't want COVID. I'm likely going to end up taking the vaccine as soon as it's available and hoping GBS doesn't happen again, just so I can go back to my life ASAP. Depends on how the risk of GBS with the vaccine compares with the risk of GBS from COVID.

In my experience the game was played by someone punting the ball in the air and the person chose to become the target by grabbing the ball. We used to rush to grab the ball, it was a way to prove your toughness, by how long you could last as the target.

I do not discount your experiences at all, homophobia was still prevalent in my elementary and middle school and I also graduated in a liberal state in 2008.

Everybody has their parenting preferences based on their experiences. I believe educated parents making an effort have favorable results. I can't imagine anyone with your lists of rules not raising intellectually stimulated and curious individuals either.

No disagreement from me. Without gaming on Windows systems I would may never gotten involved in programming in the first place. I'm currently watching what looked like my nephews Roblox/Minecraft addiction turn into some real amazing content creation utilizing youtube as a very real learning source.

I don't live in an area with any BLM protests. Instead our boring town has started to freak out about mythical child nappers. Cars have been searched and people have been beaten up by there over reactive types. Different politics, same attitudes.

It's a subtle high. Once you notice it you will notice it every time you drink it, and it's very pleasent, but it's subtle. It's about as strong as one beer and the effects don't get much stronger the more you drink.

Im from Hawaii, my parents used to give it to me when I had a soar throat and I never noticed the high. Tried it again as an adult and felt the high, since then I notice it everytime I drink it.
