Right, so the users can figure out if the user is credible and you don't do it yourself, got a bit confused there.
If users want people to join their groups then they would add their verification regardless, eg register on the site and then in some bio I could add my SO, github etc...
Twitter is just as bad at identity credibility as having your own user accounts I would of thought. There are numerous accounts on Twitter with unidentifiable entities?
I can only login with Twitter? Websites that only have OAuth login are a bit annoying but usually have 1 - 4 different options so I usually have an available account.
Only having login with twitter is preventing me from listing a group and probably a few others as well.

I sometimes buy organic mayo that costs more, purely because it tastes better. I've also found this to be the case with vegetables and many other products, especially their peanut butter!
I don't care too much what is in the actual product unless its the lowest priced products which usually contain some disgusting stuff (mechanical chicken etc).
Note: this is comparing Sainsbury's standard to organic range.
Anything brand new will be taxing on the brain, once you have solved a similar problem though it will be easier and faster. Just another case of learning and utilising what you've already learnt.
Everyone has their own pace, some may just be naturally faster and that is ok. They also might make more mistakes (bugs).
As other posts have mentioned, learning the language and libraries will help you massively.

Just because the application has huge flaws from a certain developers perspective doesn't mean other people will share the same view.
I use whatsapp regulary along with my team to coordinate driver & share info/media quickly to allow the driver to do his/her job and vice versa. Having a desktop client is a god send for this as switching between computer/phone gets very tiresome.
It won't replace slack but it makes life a whole lot easier. Slack is a lot more business orientated and that definitely shows whereas WhatsApp has the convenience factor for people eg. driving and giving us real time info.
Well, ask for proof if you are uncertain of their claims.
Also, don't just join a startup due to it being backed by a famous VC. If you can't get behind their product, goals, atmosphere etc then you will have a miserable time regardless.
To really get a feel for the co-founders, you need to spend some time in non-interview situations to fully understand their character and traits. Maybe try and get them to sit down for a coffee and put your concerns on the table. Good co-founders should appreciate the transparency.
I'm in a startup with my brother. I would say it depends on the type of relationship you have with your brother, we can resolve various issues easily and quickly.
We think alike most of the time and if not, we know how to resolve it due to living with each other for a long time. That being said, we do have different roles and only certain parts of the startup are worked on together (frontend app etc..).
Clear and concise responsibilities are what is going to help the most. If you are competitive, you are usually the most competitive with your own blood, which can get messy if you fight over the same thing.
