Disagreeable people are insurance policies. When the group is right, they are a drag. When the group is wrong, they are necessary.

Censorship just needs to work well enough for the average person. The brightest people who can bypass the censorship will be labeled crazy conspiracy theorists.

We need to stop blaming the pandemic for things that were caused by lockdowns. Young healthy people were forced to put their lives on hold for 2 years so that some 86 year olds would make it to 87.

If a company is going to discriminate against me, I want it done early, before both parties waste their time. Interviews are a two way street.

My young healthy sister got myocarditis after her booster and had to be hospitalized. This is after successfully fighting off a covid infection months prior.

I'm far from antivax, and have had 3 shots myself. But it's crazy that you aren't allowed to talk about this stuff without being labeled a conspiracy theorist.

A vocal minority doesn't need to be very large to influence culture.

I've noticed a pattern in comedians who have a funny set but never make it big. They have a shtick that works, lean into it, then end up using it as a crutch.

It doesn't scale to a funny second performance.

In Calgary I've used a parking machine that asked for a lot number. That is on a sign as you enter the parking lot. As if this machine could not be programmed to already know which lot of was permanently installed in.

Anecdotally I don't think my parents could learn to program at a hireable level in their 60s.

In a fairy tale nuclear disarmament would be great. But as long as any individual nation/dictator wants nukes, all nations will want nukes.

The 3rd calendar year into this this, I'm willing to make that sacrifice. Everyone who wants to be vaccinated is vaccinated. Young people will overwhelmingly be fine. The old should make sacrifices for the young, not the other way around.

Yes. But not everyone thinks like this.

Time and time again "crazy" conspiracy theorists end up being right.

If you have two kids, the first might be "youngest" for a couple of years and the second will be "youngest" for a lifetime.

Science is always up for discussion. A lot of people like making appeals to authority and calling that "science".

I say this as someone who is vaccinated and encourages others to be so as well.
