This is so blatantly wrong. On macs it became a little bit hrder very recently (you need to tick a checkmark in the system setting to allow untrusted program running) otherwise you just need to run the program once via right-click. On most user-friendly linux distros you can just run installer of any program.

While it might be ok to use colloquially the term, "Fenwick trees" since it became a common name, calling them "a Fenwick's work" and not mentioning Ryabko is a clear misattribution.

Why No IPv6? 2 years ago

I thought the problem with the IPv6 is that it incorporates a lot of bloat compared to the IPv4.

I think the text is geared towards people with some mathematical background who want to understand learning theory. Besides it is clearly stated that this chapter is a review (so its assumed that you learned or will learn these things elsewhere).

Your comment would be relevant if the guy written something to the devs. He has a sacred right to rant on his own page as he likes.

Why it is even relevant? Godel's incompletness theorem applies to almost any strong formal system with self-referential abilities, so if you want to do a good formalization, you bound to have one that satisfy Godel's theorem requirement.

I'm not talking about Gödel or unprovable statements, because even if something is not provable it might be constructable. Or proving the Collatz Conjecture. You need only basic algebra to build it, but something much more complex to prove it (if it is provable)

It seems like your first statement is about constructibility of the same object (that should be a proof). In your second statement you talk about constructibility of an object and provability of a certain statement about an object. I may be be judgemental, but being so imprecise is a big no-no in metamathematics.

AFAIK, this is more of a belief than a fact. I would be very curious if you would show me a rigorous proof that e.g. SHA256 requires like on the order of 2^256 of operations to find a preimage of a random 256-bit string.

I don't see much extremism. Most of the anti-coved-vax folks are ok with the tried and tested vaccines .For all I know the mRNA technology is new and the covid vax is the first of vaccines based on the said technology to get an approval - an emergency approval. This is a gamble. And I'm sure that nobody should be forced to gamble with their health, thats it. It might be redeemed a bit if the vaccine really stops the spread. but it seems to be not he case.
