Liberals think men can get pregnant, gun control will reduce crime, spending trillions will reduce inflation, etc. These beliefs are not in touch with reality. Colbert is a comedian. Unfortunately, being funny does not mean you're right. More importantly, Colbert is a liberal propagandist. He's a political operator who works for the Democratic party. His jokes are propaganda wrapped in humor to make them easy to swallow, so you won't even realize you're being manipulated. Thanks but posting Colbert's propaganda is not helpful to this discussion.

I can't help but wonder why people who supposedly want to protect democracy are fleeing Twitter because it was taken over by someone who wants to bring back freedom of speech.
Mastodon seems to make sense for these people though. Breaking up the service into different moderated servers makes it more difficult to regulate with pesky laws like the First Amendment. If one server gets too much freedom, users can easily flee to another warm, fuzzy, safe server where opposing views are censored as "conspiracy theories".
Not on average, but I believe men do have a flatter Gaussian curve. We have more mass murderers but also more notable leaders, scientists, etc.
At any rate, this is interesting in the large but useless at the individual level. We should not allow fuzzy impressions over the entire human race change our impressions of an individual person.
When the book "The Bell Curve" came out it caused an uproar for this reason. We cannot discriminate against anyone on the basis of their broad studies of race, as the authors themselves noted.

The theory basically is that minority traffic deaths are increasing because the police are less willing to enforce traffic law with them.
The article fails to mention that at this phase of the war, when we were trying to convince the Japanese to surrender, we were warning target cities of pending raids by dropping leaflets a few days beforehand. These leaflets advised civilians to evacuate the cities. Unfortunately few did, since it was unfashionable if not dangerous to heed such a warning in a militaristic society like Japan was at the time. Still, we put our bomber crews in danger to reduce the number of civilian casualties while bringing the war to an end.
