We are in the same boat. Wouldn't say I made it or got enough cash. But we are able to choose what we want to do. Turns out living a bit more simple / free is a big part of that. Living in a small forrest, closest neighbor is 10m walking, sleeping outside when we can, doing sideprojects involving energy / waterworks / woodworking. At the moment and making the house mouseproof.

For myself I still want things, but I contain myself more? I dont want to have to travel to see a tourist attractor. Or search for connections that are far away. Just see what is here already and work with that. No need to grasp so much.

Either press the word combinations, ctrl+b etc, or select the text you want bold and there will be a popup.

You`re limited on the selection though, thats kinda a bummer. In my opinion making a selection and allowing a few operations, like bold, delete, is worth it.

Interesting, I`m thinkning in another direction.

With every step into makeing things easier, you lose something. With neural networks, we cant see how or why. With electronic music. the button that lets an orchestra play with one push, makes it more difficult to change one instrument. For webdesign / development: with tools that help you, it is harder to get things really how you want.

I notice this personally as well as coding as with music and find myself, not going back to the basics, but wanting to know more about it so it gives speed with using tools, while still being able to adjust the details.

I believe that there is value in mastering your skills and tools, and that that will you make you a better ... I dont think it has anything to do with a new generation or condifence?
