I've rarely felt labels helpful, and a label can't fit all the information needed for general study of paintings.

The word "just" is the mark of a coward.

AI is only as good as a human mathemetician, which we don't have enough of? "just"?

The conjecture was first stated for two variables by Ludwig Kraus in 1884 [...] an example of a difficult question in algebraic geometry that can be understood using little beyond a knowledge of calculus.

The Jacobian conjecture is number 16 in Stephen Smale's 1998 list of Mathematical Problems for the Next Century. It was notorious for the large number of published and unpublished false proofs that turned out to contain subtle errors.

On average, Americans donate 1-2% of income, while spending 7-20% less on contributions to government.

Written communication serves separable purposes:

* Replicating speech, Archiving speech, and separating the acts of speaking and listening from each other. There are alternatives to written format.

* Speech that can be edited easily, until it is perfected.

* Speech that be sped up, slowed down, and jumped around with random access and search.

* Silent speech.

These features can be achieved with alternative technologies.

Written communication also has drawbacks. It is a lossy compression of spoken speech.
