Is the driver charging the passenger? Or is Uber charging the passenger, and putting forth a contract at a set rate which individual drivers can accept or decline?
Not to mention the arrow keys produce a lot of errors and the touch to click fails to register about 10% of the time. I end up typing in the wrong window multiple times per day.

On Courier New? Mmmm, a lot of the characters have serifs.
Compare the fonts on this page. Courier gets muddied when it's bolded, and feels a tad thin when not, in my opinion:

The last 3 fonts listed on the page are really strong for programming.
It's a serif font, which makes it noisier in my opinion. It's also a relatively thin font, making it more difficult to read.

Would just installing propped up reflective (or something painted white) panels above a roof have the same effect? Prop them up so that air can efficiently flow underneath to further reduce the heat your actual roof absorbs. The cost seems like it could be very minimal (as opposed to costly solar panels). The benefit over trees is that you don't get leaves stuck in your gutters or branches falling and damaging your home.
If you're using a service every day, and a lot of people don't understand how it works, I'd suggest that's a flaw with the design of the product or its features.

If someone was standing in front of you, and you asked him a question, and after a 30 seconds didn't get a response, would you just stand there, or would you prompt him again to figure out why he didn't answer? Maybe say it louder, because he didn't hear the first time. Or perhaps he's confused, and you can clear that up by asking your question in a different manner. You wouldn't just stand there waiting forever, however.
People begin clicking, typing for the very same reason. You're trying to figure out why a response wasn't given. You click again to make sure that your click registered the first time. If it wasn't the application will now respond. If it was, now you're trying to decipher whether the application is hung or not, or perhaps something did grab focus, like a pop behind, as a commenter suggested.
I guess I don't find this a particularly interesting investigation of human behavior. What's the alternative for the person? Sit there and wait forever?

I couldn't find an easy way to disable subtitles completely for all videos I watched. After searching through the forums, the way to do that is to set the default subtitle track in the advanced Input/Codecs settings to a really high number, or you have to go to the advanced Video section and disable "sub pictures". WTF. It's those kind of things that drive me crazy. They do a lot of great things to make their system flexible, and then stop just short of making it usable. Instead of calling it "sub pictures", just call it "sub titles", and it'd be obvious to me how to disable sub titles. Or in the codecs section, have a checkbox to disable subtitles (which would set the default track to some high number for me). I would consider that "unfriendly".
