I’ve always admired Maddog and I was lucky enough to meet him when I was in my early twenties at a Linux conference in Birmingham, UK. I bought him a coffee and even though I earned a pittance and couldn’t afford my own coffee at the time, I felt it was a badge of honour and afforded me 5 minutes of chat with this giant of computing.
Thanks for positing this - it's a wonderful place and I haven't been for a while. I live in Leicester and I've been here a number of times with the family - it's a great activity. One of my favourite things to do here is browse the old manuals in the back room and tinker with the BBC Micro or the Acorn whilst My children love playing all the old and classic games. Wonderful!
Yes, it works for both Android and iOS.
We recently remodelled our kitchen and dining area, and I wanted some art piece on the wall but couldn’t decide what. For months the wall was a little bare and we were having a lot of dinner guests. I realised our WiFi password was too complicated to keep reading out to family and friends so I built a QR code in Lego that automatically connects you to our guest WiFi. It looks good, and it’s Lego so it was a fun project with the kids. It took about 4 hours to build. The only problem was having enough 1x1 tiles to put on a 37x37 matrix.
I love this, but I thought that the sprinkles need to be the same length in order for the calculation to work? Looking at the image in the article, the length of the sprinkles seem to vary with some being just dots and the others are of a similar length. I wonder if it would work if you discounted those smaller dot sprinkles?
Thanks everyone. Great tips. I’ll have a look at the Oaklahoma :). Here’s to good BBQ
I would love to get started with Smoking BBQ at home and I’ve been interested for some time. What type of BBQ would be good equipment to get me up and running from a beginner level? I’m in the UK if that helps.
It's interesting that on the first page under the copies to section they reference Satoshi Nakamoto and the genesis block of BTC.
I used to work as an Lecturer in the other University in Leicester and I have lots of friends and colleagues working in various departments at Leicester University. It looks like the financial situation at the University is quite bad, and this isn’t the first time the executive has threatened to close this department. I feel for the people working there at the moment. Sad times.
